There's not much money in boxing for a guy like him, especially after the Rodriguez loss. What's the point of continuing to appear on Friday Night Fights for less than $50,000 a fight, especially when he was having to keep a job to make ends meet?

I was always entertained by his fights, but this is the right move given how much punishment he took.

As I was watching the Rodriguez rematch and all those sick uppercuts Delvin was tagging him with, all I could think was that this guy had too much chin and heart for his own good. That's the recipe for a guy becoming real messed up down the road, so those fighters in particular need to know when to step away.

Too early. At least he left it on his own terms, though.

Honestly sad and happy at the same time.

I hope he sticks with his decision and finds the peace he hopes to find with it.

He is a warrior, and there is no quit in him. His style takes a big toll on his health. He is an intelligent person and is all too aware of this. It is the right decision for him. He has achieved quite a lot in this sport, much more then many fighters could ever dream, so props to him. Surely he will still be around the sport and we will hear about him occasionally.

He is entertaining because he is not very good. And he will be back next year
