I thought Palhares won the 2nd round, but it was close for me. It was still a dominant performance for Henderson. I believe Henderson deserves a rematch with Silva, as he is still the biggest threat to Silva at that weight. I would like to see GSP challenge if victorious vs. Penn.
Okami is certainly a good opponent for Silva. Really there is only Okami (technically a rematch), a Rematch with Hendo, GSP moving up, Demien Maia after another win or so, or Anderson Silva moving up. It's quite amazing what Silva has done to the division.
Henderson seems like the logical opponent for Anderson Silva. He is the former champion and just put on a good showing against a young undefeated fighter in Toqhino. Perhaps a Henderson/Marquardt match for the number one contender's spot would be in order? Silva has already cleared out the division.
Yea, theres a few others outside the UFC. I don't think Filho and Anderson would fight though, I think they train together or are friends.
Anderson Silva has gone on record to say he would never fight Paulo Filho because they are friends and training partners.
Plus Filho needs to fight Sonnen in a rematch that first one was crap reffing, and Filho hasn't fought since.
Anderson and Paulo would never fight. And on paper Lindland looks like a dangerous opponent for Silva. But in reality, he's another version of Hendo except with a weaker chin.
