Dan Rafael and David Haye

I don't mind Dan Rafael, but if you can't say something to someones face, don't say it.

 

I actually read (not in a forum) that Rafael tried to speak with Haye but Haye refused.

 

Haye offered to do an interview with Dan over the phone or when he was in town for Khan-Maidana. He wanted to get his side of the story out, and Dan never replied.

Dan's bias is utterly clear: he takes everything Wlad or Vitali says as gospel without questioning or investigating it. He ignores reasonable explanations from Haye's camp and ONLY reports the negative. He uses insults and cheap abuse while writing about Haye while praising the brothers endlessly.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is bias. If you agree with him, that's fine - but he's meant to provide a balanced account of what's going on. Not be a cheerleader for one fighter.

 

Maybe this is where the hate comes from? Maybe, sometime in 2003, a young good looking David Haye was fighting at the Playboy Mansion, getting all the girls he wanted, when an obscure journalist asked him for a few questions. Maybe Haye said "Sorry, I can't, mate" and Rafael ency meant he perceived that as "**** off, mate, I'm about to get as much ***** in one night as you'll ever have in your entire life" and from that moment, Rafael's hate and waistline grew. Spurred on by hate, he spent sleepless nights eating KFC, McDonalds and Burger King, all whilst desperately searching for anything that would hurt Haye. A once slim, budding reporter steadily and progressively turned into a fat, bloated, ugly hateful journalist thanks to one misplaced comment from the future heavyweight champion of the world.

Are you really going on about how cute you think Haye is? FFS, Haye fans got is worse than I thought.

Haye is a guy that we all love to hate. Can't fault Phat Dan for sticking to his feelings.

Exactly! I can imagine a pic of Haye's ripped, defined torso placed on Fat Dan's dartboard. If only his hands were too covered in KFC grease to throw a dart at the pic :-(

 

This, and Rafael NEEDS to understand this. As another poster said, if you were to read Rafael's articles, you would know that Wladimir's word and Vitali's word are the gold standard to Dan, while David Haye's word is automatically utter b*ll sh*t. If Dan was the OBJECTIVE journalist (which all journalists have a responsibility to be, not just Dan), he would've taken a look at, and represented, both fighters' sides of the story. This isn't the case with only David Haye, but also anything he writes about Mayweather and anyone else that doesn't live up to Dan's precious standards.

It's not the journalist's job to form an opinion and spew it out in his/her articles - the journalist is supposed to report, the public is supposed to decide.
