You think Ortiz goes up to 154 for a title shot after losing to Mayweather and only 2 bouts at 147? I don't see it.. And Cotto said he wouldn't go down to fight Pac, I surely don't see him doing it for an Ortiz fight.

Berto begged off against fighting Mosley. (Haiti earthquake)
Shane went on to fight Floyd.

Berto injures arm. (Canelo may be asking for a lot of money.)

Ortiz rematch would be another option that's better than Guerrero.

Berto probably got ****ed up in sparring by a lesser fighter than Ortiz and decided his arm hurted and can't fight.

You think Floyd can sell a fight vs Berto right now? Would he take the Conte angle saying stamina was the issue vs Ortiz? Berto didn't look the best in his fight with Ortiz, and Ortiz didn't look too nice in his last fight with Floyd.. Guess I don't see the exact angle he'd sell it at.. :huh

This injury will probably delay the fight just long enough for Berto to cycle off whatever Conte's put him on.

Yeah. The weird thing is, they (The Berto Camp) demanded it of Ortiz, even though Berto is the one who's got Conte on his payroll. I'm still surprised how everyone just accepts Conte as a legitimate part of the sports world once again, and all he did was disappear from the spotlight for a few years. That would be like the boxing world welcoming back Javier Capetillo around 2016 without anyone bringing up his past.

ya I'm sure Floyd's eyes lit up when he read this
I'm sure the Conte angle could work well. Both fights are viable because u have the rematch with a controversial ending and u got Berto coming off a win over the undefeated IBF champion.

And Berto has a small fan base, but it's not always about that. It's about getting Floyd's fan base and casual fans intrigued by Floyd's opponent and the matchup. People will see Mayweather vs Berto May 5th and then be like, who's Berto and look him up
Then they'll see a fast negro knocking guys out with one punch and tune in.

Floyd can even lie to everybody and say Berto is the fastest and most powerful guy Floyd's ever fault
