Maybe if they approached Floyd and said "if Canelo beats Trout, and you beat Guerrero - you should fight each other in the autumn"

Floyd said he wanted the winner of Martinez/Williams. He likely would have taken that fight if either Martinez or Williams struggled to a decision win.

After Williams got KTFO? You never heard anything about Floyd wanting Martinez. Ever. It didn't look easy or winnable anymore.

If Canelo beats Trout but doesn't look good doing it, he'll get the fight. If Canelo mulches the overrated fish into processed cat food, he won't get the fight.

And "get his ass back to showtime?" Dude, Canelo last fought on Showtime. Floyd just signed with Showtime. GBP is holding most of their cards on Showtime these days. Canelo can't really go back to a place he's already calling home.

good grief some of you here are clueless.

if canelo is not fighting on may 4 then hes not going to fight trout in june and wont be fighting austin until he suffers multiple losses or is ko'd.

its blatantly obvious that some of you guys here have never been in a position of authority.

in fact, you can give some of the people here a winning lottery ticket, they stopped by the nearest pub to get drunk and lose it in the mens bathroom.

Paul Wiliams vs Sergio fight thats the best you got?

Canel will not get a promise from Floyd. Floyd will not be strong armed by Canelo. Canelo can go back to fightin on Showtime no PPV and the hype that goes with it.

:deal and because Floyd has no idea how dominant Canelo will look if he wins, he can't guarantee Canelo a fight as of now. Mr Cherrypick has a 0 to protect after all

Why would Floyd guarantee him anything? Trout might send his ass to the moon! You can callout Floyd for alot of things but fighting boxers who were face-plainted in their previous bouts is something he will never do.

GB need to tug on Canelo's leash and reel him back into reality.

When it comes to revenue and fanbase, he ain't on Floyd's level, he ain't on Pacquiao's level, he ain't even on Cotto's level. When it comes to either of those guys he ain't in a position to demand a damn thing. Real talk.

This is his only realistic option. Fight on the undercard, whoop Trout's ass like he stole something, callout Floyd during the post fight interview.

And don't just call him out. Take a page from Hatton and mock Floyd. Call him a coward, a ducker, a feather-fisted weakling, whatever. Canelo will be on the biggest stage, so no better time than that moment to back Floyd into a corner. Let the buildup start right there, because you know when Floyd makes quick work of Guerrero, the first question they will ask him will be about Canelo.

If Canelo-Trout is not on the undercard, I won't buy the PPV. I realize I am just one person, but I think there are a lot of others who feel the same way. I don't give but a half of a **** about Mayweather-Guerrero. I want to see Canelo-Trout, period.

Big numbers, but not huge. Canelo certainly brings a lot of buys to the table, especially on Cinco de Mayo weekend. That said, it would be very difficult for him to put on a directly competing card at this point, so he doesn't have a ton of leverage.

the chances of canelo figthing trout in june if he doesnt fight austin on may 4 is close to zero.

  13. UH OH!! Im not buying the Gaywether cardnif Canelo is not in it!! Floyd is such a little *****. He talks this and that like he is fighting Pac and the winner of Canelo-trout but when it comes time to actually do it he shows he really doesnt want to. ****ing coward.

Show time doesnt guarantee how many people will order the damn fight you suggest it will do over a mil? I doubt that I doubt it comes close to a mil, Numbers will be like Baldimor.... 365k with out Canelo on the card

You dont get it fans, Mexican fans do not turn up in high numbers for Guerrero and with out Canelo thats all that you have left on that card.

Guerreros fan base is on par with Bradleys.... if Canelo is not on the card this card gets pulled or it takes a massive beat down
