  3. you re basically saying that canelo is a bigger draw than floyd. i disagree. im mexican myself and id rather pay for a floyd card than a canelo one. canelo is in no position to make such demands.

If Canelo knocks out Trout Floyd will never fight him.

If Trout beats Canelo in easy fashion Floyd will never fight him either.

Agreed. Floyd will cherry pick Maidana, Alexander or Malignaggi. You know, the HARD fights! :yep

I think Canelo probably realizes Floyd won't fight him.

Regardless if he wins or loses against Trout.

I think he just won't fight him no matter what the outcome is in the fight. If Trout wins he'll duck Trout.

If Alvarez wins he won't fight him.

It will do over a mil without Canelo. It make no sense that the card with Canelo would do 1.3 MIL plus and without it will do less than 400,000. That suggest Canelo is a bigger draw than Mayweather which we know is false. Showtime does guarantee Floyd money no matter how many people buy the PPV that is why he took the deal

Let's do a bit of history here.

Floyd's last fight was against Cotto on Cinco De Mayo.

Cotto is a PPV draw himself, but you think a MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY card does that well headlined by a black fighter and a puerto rican fighter?

    No chance in hell.

Floyd-Cotto would have done well no matter when it took place because Cotto has a PPV following himself, but does it pull as many buys as it did without taking place on Cinco De Mayo with the biggest Mexican Boxing star on the planet on the undercard?

    Yes or no?

Bottom line, if Canelo fights on a Mexican holiday under a Floyd opponent, he will increase the buyrate, plain and simple.

He is owed a shot because he's already helped Floyd make more money without Floyd ever fighting him.

I wouldn't want Floyd to use me to fatten his paychecks if there wasn't an eventual reward promised for me in the end. Floyd is trying to screw Ginger and make more money off him without actually committing to fighting him. This is all without even mentioning a Canelo fight would do great business and make Floyd plenty of cash.

But, Canelo is a risk. If I was 36 years old, I wouldn't want to get locked into a fight I might lose too.

Canelo is fully within his rights to call Floyd out on his horse**** strategy of using Ginger on the undercard to con Mexicans into buying his PPVs on Mexican holidays under the assumption that Canelo-Floyd will eventually happen one day without an official guarantee and it's all buildup. As of now, though, it's just Floyd using Alvarez to boost his income without Ginger getting anything whatsoever in return for his help.

I am saying that Guerrero vs Mayweater with out Canelo on the undercard does **** for numbers, doesnt have anything to do with who is the bigger draw.

Floyds numbers are due to the following his opponents have mixed with his fans, Guerrero does not have that kind of following, so with out Canelo to bring in other fans you are left with Floyd fans.

and we know how loyal those guys are right..... most of them look for illegal streams rather than order the fight.

This is sad. Cinnamon fans making excuses for Canelo ducking Trout. Fine, say you won't fight on May 4th, but still categorically state you are fighting Trout, just on another date.

    Some fans you are.

Canelo isnt owed **** he is getting paid to fight on the undercard. Why is it Canleo doesnt want to fight on the undercard? What is the difference than fighting on regular showtime on his own card that will get less hype and less people will see? I am a big fan of Canelo but he better focus on the fight at hand no Mayweather. Mayweather is focused on Guerrero not Canelo
