Marquez couldn't hit him with a handful of sand.

  2. floyd became a superstar after defeating oscar de la hoya. since then, all of his fights have done over a million buys. floyd's a big draw whether u like it or not.

If Baldomir had happened after DLH, it would have done twice as much

There is absolutely no reason for Canelo to do Mayweather a favor and be on his PPV if Mayweather is'nt willing to at least acknowleadge he's looking for Canelo to be an opponent in 2013 or at the very least early 2014.

If I'm Canelo I stick to those guns and force Mayweather's hand.

Mayweather is not dumb. He knows his card with Guerrero will flop if either Canelo or Chavez Jr. or not on it.

Cotto, Mosley, Marquez were names the casual fan recognized and so they bought into wanting to see Mayweather against them.

The fans felt cheated the one time Mayweather fought a less recongizeable name in Victor Ortiz. Guerrero is even less known to the casuals than Ortiz.

Without Canelo, the Guerrero card will sell less than 500K imo.

I certainly will not order the PPV without Canelo on it.
The reason to buy for the boxing fan who's well outside of the fence in mulling over to buy Mayweather-Guerrero is that the better matchup is Canelo-Trout.

I would'nt buy either matchup standing alone at $60.

Given the choice to see one fight or the other for free, I'd watch Canelo-Trout!

Exactly and for some reason these people just tend to think Floyd will sell a Million with or with out Alvarez on the card, that is not the ****ing truth.

You all need to come to grips with this ****, People do not only purchase PPV events because of the main event allot of fans buying decisions are based on the undercard in addition to the main event if they see the value they will order it.

I say this with confidence if Canelo vs Trout is not on the undercard if Canelo is not on the undercard the Guerrero vs Floyd fight will not sell ****.... They will either scrap the entire card, or it will be on Showtime Championship boxing not PPV

Doesn't matter when the #1 PPV star is your opponent.

Now try and answer -how many more buys did Canelo get for Mosley and Mora if he is such a huge PPV star?

Canelo sells, and on his own card would rival a floyd-ghost fight, with the right opponent. Is Trout the right opponent..could be with his dominant win over Cotto. That could certainly be hyped into a huge event. Now, should Floyd fight the Canelo-Trout winner...tough call. IF canelo, I'd say absolutely for the $$$..Trout - Floyd would not sell as well, but maybe.. Floyd should fight GGG next at 154. Now that would be interesting.

I will bet you that if Canelo is not on this card this fight does not do 1million if they allow the card to move forward...
#1PPV star... How many PPVs did Baldimor Mayweather sell? Judah?

what do you want to bet that floyd/guerrero by itself without canelo will be ppv?

    100.00?

because thats pretty much what is happening here.

and if you would take a moment to not suck canelos **** the only reason people want to see canelo on the card is because of TROUT.

if canelo ducks and fights angulo he brings nothing to the may 4 card.

so is $100.00 okay with you?
