    1. Adonis Stevenson (26-1)

Quebec's Stevenson burst on the scene to win the world title by 76-second knockout of Chad Dawson in 2013, but he has disappointed many by not fighting the top opponents available to him, such as Sergey Kovalev and Jean Pascal, although now it is Kovalev who is the one putting up barriers. Nonetheless, since bailing on a deal to face Kovalev, Stevenson has faced Andrzej Fonfara in a life-and-death struggle followed by two terrible mismatches against Dmitry Sukhotsky and Sakio Bika. Next up will be the worst of them all, an absolutely pointless Spike TV main event against club fighter Tommy Karpency (25-4-1), whose claim to fame is a split decision win against the totally shot Dawson in 2014.

    Next: Sept. 11 vs. Karpency

    :deal

Yes, absolutely destroyed him while at the same time blaming Kovalev for blocking the fight and ranking Stevenson number-one based only on one win over Chad Dawson (who he claimed was shot a year later).

Rafael is all over the goddamn place.

If Karpency edges Stevenson, Rafael will rate Karpency number-one for beating the last two lineal light heavyweight champs.

Im sure it's part of his contract to not use common sense in his ranking.

He's got to lure casuals to his site, and the lineal champion is usually the best known to the idiots who get their boxing from the sports pages. :patsch

    Say what?

It's an awful fight, regardless of where he is from.

If he was Guatemalan, it wouldn't be his Guatemalanness that might make it a good or bad fight.

Stevenson is the lineal champ. Shouldn't he be #1 or are we disregarding that sh it when ranking guys?

The ranking should be "Champion", not #1.

RJJ is the best American CW but It'd be a terrible mismatch to put him in with Huck.

The lineal champ is actually Edwin Rodriguez, I imagine you wouldn't feel so great about him being listed as "champion."

Chad is a shot fighter that should be obvious to anyone. To be fair Chad did injure his left shoulder, but Chad has never had a shoulder injury before, I'm guessing training camp was poor. And he got peanuts the fight before which indicates his promoter has little faith in him. If Karpency edges Stevenson then Karpency is a better fighter than the general census gives credit for, that still doesn't change the fact that Dawson's boxing career is over.

    my issue is everyone says

"this will be close I think he stops stevenson" to every bum he faces.
stevenson fighting people I've basically never heard of.

he should just fight pascal. or gonzalez

Looks like he called it fair, said Kovalev put up barriers. I agree with everything he's said.
