I'm sure it took back and forth negotiating but according to iole and Rafael the 40% terms agreed upon via moonves as intermediary or conciliary tween mayweather and pac came from mayweathers camp.

Iole implies it's happening or did so yesterday but has gone a bit sour today. Rafael practically insists its not happening.

I believe it's not just the purse if he backs out but more because he makes so much more as this will be the biggest fight ever.

In my eyes you've had the best mindset today of all posters.

No one should take anything Dan Rafael says about Floyd seriously or literally. He is a PBF hater everybody knows that. His word and opinion on Floyd means absolutely nothing.

Well thanks, I'm trying to be as objective as possible. What I meant by more dangerous was that I believe Cotto, under Roach, has a better chance to hurt Floyd. Pacquiao, in 2015 and based on what I've seen lately, has a better chance to outpoint Floyd.

    It won't be Cotto.

Floyd can't take the chit storm that will come his way if he doesn't fight Pac. It will be Pac. It has to be.

Mayweather/Cotto II is no Mayweather/Pacquiao but it is a great fight for potential further accomplishments to both Mayweather and Cotto.

How so? All it means for Floyd is that he has gone over old ground (again) and had another rematch.

If he fought and beat Pac, there'd be a chit storm of him having waited too long, having been top billing on the poster, blah blah blah...

Smart prediction still has to be that Mayweather/Pacquiao doesn't happen this year. Because we've seen this story for 5 years now.

Although you're right, it'd look a hell of a lot worse for Floyd if he never fought Manny. You have to agree on that, surely?

Yeah , but two fights left now. His legacy will go down the tubes if he doesn't do it.

I believe Mayweather values his legacy. It will haunt him till no end if he doesn't make one of the biggest fights ever in the sport.

Obviously that is not even debatable...

    (in a Jamaican accent)

    Absolutely. Definitely!
