Dan Rafael gets torn a new one by Fres Quendo's Manager

Not the specific content of his rant so much as the fact that he felt he was important enough to go public with such a load of insignificant horse****. Sure he was sticking up for his fighter, but if it was such a big deal, Fres should've addressed it--but he probably didn't even care.

I mean, Fres Oquendo's manager..? He may as well be one of the Brits on Twitter who hate Fat Dan so much. At least they express their feelings about his corpulence in 140 characters or less.

 

To be honest I didn't know who the **** Fres Oquendo was until this happened, so he has done an alright job of getting his fighter's name out there.

Also, as a Brit on twitter I'm just pleased to see someone be able to use more than 140 characters to explain all the reasons while Fat Dan is an idiot, and be sure that the he is going to read it.

By my estimation, this diatribe would have been less than half as long if Rafael was skinny. I don't know what his weight has to do with it -- if the trainer has to bring that into it, he obviously doesn't have much to stand on.

 

1. Fat jokes have been made since the dawn of time.

2. A morbidly obese dude commenting on Boxing. Every hard working boxer would get pissed off with that.

3. It just drives the venom in. Make enough fat jokes, and the Fat Man will sooner or later shut up.

4. The Fat jokes are the difference between a 2 pag thread, and a 6 pages and counting thread.

5. In the words of Paul Bearer: Laughhhhh at the Fat Man!

 

It always bothered me listening to a portly announcer or twits that have no semblance of athleticism criticize those that do. Now, Fres deserves less of a title shot than James Toney, but the criticism of Dan is not without merit.

When Walker came to my gym to spar with KINGPIN, I asked him about the Vitali KD in sparring, and he said "One man's brutal knockdown is another man's slip". He went on to say that HE DID NOT KNOCK DOWN VITALI, THAT IT WAS A FABRICATED STORY TO BUILD UP HIS CREDIBILTY WITH SHOWTIME BOXING.

Walker said he hit Vitali in the body right after [Vitali] tripped over [Walker's] feet. It was a slip, not a knockdown, and somehow the media picked up that Vitali was knocked down.

As for Butler knocking down Vitali, from what I remember hearing of it was Vitali's knee gave out & buckled underneath him.

Dan works for a respected sports broadcaster. He has no right to write such vitriol and it was uncalled. It was personal attacks at times. For an obese man who prbably never stepped in the ring, one should never question a fighters' in character. And I love how somehow he is calling out some kind of mismatch that is robbing the fans of a proper match-up. Uhm where is he when K2, Pac, PBF, Arum, HBO and GBP puts up shitty fight?

No ****ing no where because he needs to protect his access just like many bottom feeding writers with little "pull."

Fres is an idiot for stopping that low. Props for defending his fighter but he went "full ******" on Dan.
