Dammit ... I agreed with you on a previous post and then you had to ruin it all with this drivel. Your post about canelo waiting because I thought it showed you had some comprehension of boxing as a business. Instead you write this screed which just shows boxing is just about "calling out" people and testing your heart and going to war and all the other **** you use to create the matchup you want without any regard with what is best for the actual fighters. If you really think ggg- Ward would have been a good fight for ggg to take in 2015 you don't have any understanding of the sport you spend so much time blabbering about.

GGG promoter TomLoeffler1 says he met with makeawar this week about making Canelo-GGGBoxing for fall 2017 (although GGG wants it now).

I'm just speaking the truth. Ggg and his fans have double standards and I'm tired of it. This guy thinks he's God's gift to boxing but he's not he must pay dues like everyone else who came before or come after him.

How is it moving up if he faces a 154 fighter when Alvarez has never fought above 154/55??

If Canelo who has never fought above 155 fights a guy at 154 he is a bully.

If GGG fights a WW at 154 is a smart decision.

    Golovstan logic = Hypocrisy

Why should him having irrational fans make you have irrational thoughts. Who cares about double standards and all that Twitter talk. Does it make sense for ggg to fight Ward in 2015? Clearly not. Does it make sense for canelo to fight ggg in 2016-2017 - sort of. It will be the biggest fight canelo can probably make at 160 and he is the lineal middleweight champion. The situations are not the same but let's just for the sake of argument say they are ... Does unjust criticism of Canelo make criticism of ggg justified? It's as simple as two wrongs don't make a right. If you step back and just see it from that very basic premise I believe you will pump the brakes on your need to defend canelos actions and criticize ggg's actions. You will probably discover that they are both doing what they believe is in their own self interests.

Golovkin will not move away from his comfort zone. He is carefully matched.

He would never fight a slick fighter like Lara, Trout, or Ward.

    Here is Trout speaking TRUTH:

One last point - I think you can admit that you really don't know enough about ggg personally to understand how he perceives his own place in boxing. So much of boxers comments are fed to them as things they should say to promote their careers. It's tough to blame them for such things especially when they are doing it with a language barrier. Be careful not to transfer his fans beliefs as ggg's own beliefs.

Quite frankly I don't care if he ever fights GGG. I know, as well as a lot of other people that GGG will wax his ass and that's why a lot of people want to see it. I will give Canelo the benefit of doubt if he says that he is too small. He then needs to go to 154 and deal with those gents. A lot of exciting fights waiting for him there. He needs to leave them dam welter weights alone.
