Canelo knows he'll be countering the slower more predictable Golovkin all night.

It would not surprise me to see Canelo KO GGG.

He's saying that some GGG fans will compare or even bolster this KO5-7 win over Canelo moreso than they will if Andre Ward survives a 120-104 slaughter vs Kovalev.

In other words, Ward is taking the more risky fight, although technically, Ward is the bigger man than KOvalev, and Canelo, the bigger man than GGG.:think

Last point - you have no idea of how to properly use the word "ironic". Don't worry - common error. But you really should research the usage a little more before the next time you argue what is ironic.

I'll make it simple. If both fights are fought to legitimate draws - I think wards performance will be viewed as more impressive by all honest observers. Perhaps some people will argue otherwise. I suspect racial undertones and entrenched positions may outweigh rationale thought in this case. There are a few nuts on each side

Fair enough. No worries. Glad I kept my snark to a minimum in my reply that time. I'm worried I'm becoming shock master

Get acclimated to 160? Ffs he walks around at 175 and fights at 156!
2017 is an eternity in boxing...no one can plan that far ahead.

How is Canelo going to acclimate to 160lbs if he is looking at fighting a JrMW? By 2017 GBP and Canelo will say the same thing but now for 2018.

If both fights end in draws, or even remotely close(without national biases), then YES, Ward, even in defeat would be more achieved than should GGG win a tight one vs Canelo.:good

Nah ... I changed my mind ... ggg would be only like 14 fights from wearing the TBE hat while Ward would be a bum ;)

Marinating it for a year actually might make it bigger and more highly anticipated than it is now (if it's a legitimate intention to fight ad not a face saving move by Canelo).

The weight one walks around at is irrelevant. Walking around isn't quite the same as professional boxing

All this latest development really means is they won't meet in the next 14 months, and I think most of us had already come to that conclusion.

Whatever....he fights at 156.... fighting with 4 more pounds on your body requires over a year of acclimatisation? GTFO with that nonsense ...

Canelo could mess around and lose getting "acclimated"!
