Gents, as you well know, the blueprint for this type of negotiations is already out there and it's incumbent upon GGG to play it out because he has seen the end results. You can't put a right or wrong tag on it, it's business and that is the driving force behind GGG's refusal. No fear and no duck on his part.

2. First it was ALL flat fee... then a percentage of the PPV revenue was being negotiated, now are we back to FLAT FEE ?

3. We don't know what the two camps are negotiating... all we hear is O$car/GBP making one statement after another, with GBP going so far as saying earlier... This is the best offer GGG's going to get, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT !

4. The Canelo TROLLS keep telling us what a GOOD DEAL each offer is for GGG, yet O$car keeps..

Ok 15 million is fine. But gve GGG some share of PPV, 80-20.

 

Let's make a few comparison.
Live gate for pac clottey in stadium was only 6.5 million.
Live gate for Canelo cotto was 12.5 million, with 900k ppv.
Canelo cotto was the closest fight you can gauge how this fight gonna generate.
With a price tag $70 ppv, if it brings in 1m ppv, the gross revenue is 70M.
The cable provider plus HBO cut amount to 50% of that, bring in the net revenue from ppv to 35M.
Live gate being generous will add 15M to the pot. Plus there are international feed revenue, but those will be offset with undercard and promotional expenses.
So we are talking about 50M only in the pot. GGG bring home 15M and Canelo takes 35M is a very reasonable split.
I don't how anybody can dispute that.
People who suggest otherwise should actually check exactly how much Canelo take home with mayweather and Cotto. Or how much mayweather took home with Oscar.

 

Reasonable analysis, I think it might do a bit more money than that if GGG KOs Jacobs in March, but to me $15 million is still acceptable from GGG's point of view.

Let's give them time to negotiate all the other details as well, and I'm positive we'll see this signed for September!

this seems like propaganda. golovkin just signed to fight a guy the haters say he was ducking. once he disposes of the corpse he makes of jacobs, it is on to canelo.

 

It is in a sense. They actively negotiating and once all the details are done I think we'll see the fight in September.

 

It very well may be. I've had a huge hunch since the beginning and especially after the ring invitation and the two fighting WW Brits that its all part of promoting the fight.

You really think 2nd biggest box office smash? Better than Floyd-Canelo, Floyd-Oscar? I doubt it. 60/40 isn't fair when Canelo is the bigger PPV draw, and had to earn his position the hard way. GGG isn't going to be given any more freebies than he's already been offered with the 15 mill he seems to be refusing. The belts have no stake in his claim for a better % or for more money. It's time for GGG to do what greats like Hopkins, like Trinidad, like Mayweather, like Pacquaio for example and concede to the A side, or move up. Like I said before Canelo can still make money and sell PPV fighting the smith's of the world, he doesn't need GGG like g needs Canelo.
