Lets be honest who cares about p4p no1.....personally i would have Calzaghe, but can understand people have Paq. Its a mythical list tho and the main concern for these two fighters are their future fights.

I dont think that Pac beat Marquez any of the times they fought.

Dan Rafael is an idiot, how he got a job at ESPN i will never know. He is completely incapable of scoring boxing matches and always contradicts himself. One of his recent marvels is when he had Taylor winning every round against Pavlik in the first fight, ridiculous. Not to mention he moves Calzaghe to No.1 P4P when he was one of the people who protested that Hopkins won.

I have no problem with Calzaghe being at No.1, but the guy just pisses me off.

Still a few people here whos still licking their wounds from the JMM fight. Their adamant Pac lost his last fight....boxrec people, it doesnt take a boxing historian to learn a bit of facts on the fight

Barrera was so old he was coming off wins against Hamed, Tapia, Ayala & Morales...wow so shot. He was so shot the 2nd time he was coming off a very close loss against JMM just 3months before and some people even scored it for MAB. Funny how thats JMM's biggest win yet 3 months later Pac was fighting a shot old Barrera.

Morales was past prime definetely but if anyone remembers the odds for Pac-Morales 2, it was practically even on the betting odds so obviously the "shot excuses" came after the fight. Dont forget just 8 months before Morales beat a p4p fighter in Pac and his loss against the slick akward Raheem came in at 135 where anybody with a decent pair of eyes could see that it wasnt the same Morales that fought Pac at 130.

4 weight division champ , 3 lineal, 6 weight divisions, 11KD's of the 3 greatest FW's of his era, 5 wins over 3 HOF'ers and ATG's. This is a no brainer, Pac is no.1 by a clear mile and all those who try descredit his resume to prove his not, well the same could be said about any other fighter in history to make them look like bums.

 

What i want to know is what the heck is De La Hoya doing at 13? Is this some joke? Is DLH paying you Mr. "respected" columnist Dan Rafael?

Why? IMO, it's quite debatable. And Rafael is right, in my view.
