Finally this respected columnist has come up with something credible

You've spouted a heap of bull**** recently Dan, but I look forward to seeing more work of this ilk.

    Too predictable.

Someone saids something good about Calzaghe and that person is "objective".

Someone saids something bad about Calzaghe and that person is an "idiot".

    That about sums it up?

Well you do have to be pretty idiotic to say something bad about the p4p #1 as decided by respected columnist Dan Rafael :good

I don't see why he wouldn't be objective anyway. He's not from Newbridge or Manila.

I was gonna let him off for having Calzaghe at #1 since he explained that both Pac & Calzaghe should be 1 & 1a which could be forgivable, but then he went on to rank Calderon at #10. Be impressed with his undefeated record but look closer at who he has beaten compared to the other, no way he belongs top 10. This p4p list has lost credibility.

I didn't look at the rest, I must confess

That #1 spot just makes the list

    TFFP,

Be honest, you printed out the article and are thinking about framing it aren't you?

There are a few people's opinions that I respect in this thread (tffp, zackman, osh) that believe that Joe should be #1. Then there are some posters making mention to Pac not winning the Marquez rematch, which is IMO very immature. I had Marquez winning, yet there was definently not a robbery and it was a close fight. The bottom line about these two fights with Marquez, as expressed by the two guys who run ***boxing, is that Pac put Marquez on his ass 4 times in two fights and that was the difference. If young posters on this site can't get this, at least Rafael should.

    A few points:
    • Pac has fought the superior competition over a longer duration of time and has looked spectacular doing so
    • Calzaghe has taken better competition as of late, but did not go out of his way to find the best competition before doing so
    • Pac looked better in his last performance than Calzaghe did, which makes Rafael's remark about Pac taking back the #1 spot
if he looks good a little curioss (this implies that they are so close that Rafael gives the #1 honor to whoever looked better in their last outing).
    • Pac will continue to look for the biggest competition, while Calzaghe is now looking at lower level competition in a sort of a Sr. circuit

4 pounds can make a big difference bro. It may not seem to be a lot but you can feel it. Especially when fight time rolls around.

nice post:good , side note: joe c is on his way to retirement unlike pac who is still continuing to fight and taking on challenges out there even bigger challenges than marquez or guzman which is hatton.

Exactly. 4 lb separated Rafael Marquez & Mijares, guess who'll be the heavily favoured fighter. 4lb separated Vasquez & Pac/MAB/JMM, guess who will be the heavy favourite in those fights. 4lb matters more in the lower weights. Another attempt to descredit Pac's achievements, if what Pac has done is so easy we would have more flyweights knocking out ATG's at SFW!

I agree in all of your posts in the last 3 Pages.:good

I'm not really active on depending Pac anymore coz he's the actual Ring #1 P4P. That alone is a Dream come true. Even ESPN's FNF based their rankings on the Ring's P4P Rankings, not the the Fat Dan Top 10 Rankings .

Dan Rafael's was Known to be Pac non believer since his USAtoday Days. He always underrates and Pick against Pac. He's like the Fat twin Brother of Max Kellerman.
