I agree, he's a douche. But he is pretty dedicated in terms of updating his blog and keeping on the up and up. The quality of his writing is poor, but eh.

 

ESB's John Garfield's left scrotum got better sports writing talent than Dan Rafael.

Someone is a little peeved that Rafael failed to label Saturday's fight as an ATG win for Haye.

I still haven't decided on whether I think Haye is ducking. I DO think that the klits gave him a contract that was unsatisfactory, and they have done it before. I also think Haye has made himself look a lot worse globally with fans for picking a fight with audley instead of a more legitimate opponent, adamek for example would have been a great fight and nobody sensible would have said ****.

Point is he needs to fight Vitali at least sometime soon, and get ready for Wlad. or at least start taking on some legitimate top ten opposition.

 

he's a good source but I skip his analysis and opinions of everything he does. His scorecards are always awful. My biggest problem is that he thinks his analysis of boxers and fights are so great, but they are worthless. He does have a lot of good sources though and that's the only reason he has the job he does. He should just stick to being an info guy, like Adam Shefter is for football. Dan giving his analysis of fights would be like Adam Schefter breaking down game tape. He wouldn't do it because he's never played football and knows nothing about the x's and o's of football. Well Dan has never boxed and knows nothing more than any hardcore boxing fan.
