They offered a fight last Nov. and were turned down. They wanted the fight again this Nov. and were turned down. They then further accomadated Top Rank and offered to have the fight in 2009, and have been ignored. The "wait your turn" excuse is only going work for so long.

That's fine.

It was one fight that fell through, a unification fight. Fans are always clamoring for unification.

He had no choice. There was a rematch clause in the contract.

That will get old quick. He'll have to fight Williams or face the criticism eventually.

Thats the main thing. They all want him. I feel Rafael is right but it does apply to every fighter. They are all ready to fight anyone until they are big enough. AFter that, they handpick the bigger fight. Of course i dont blame Margarito. He is going for unification so he can be in a better position...to handpick. Not saying Clottey is an easy pray...Margarito would sure have prefer to take DLH.

he makes it sound like margarito is going to fight zab or some low level punk, he's fighting Clottey, a ww titlist. And last time i checked, almost everyone agrees that clottey lost because he "broke" his hand and that he would've beaten margo if he was healthy, well he got that opportunity now.
I will agree with his statement if margarito doesn't fight williams sometime in teh near future, but its so obvious that that fight will happen.
