Prime Tyson = 20 Years old

Prime Lewis = 30+ Years old

Both close to unbeatable.

 

Dan Rafael is such a sane, rational and unbiased reporter. I admire his boxing knowledge.

Also, he is totally not fat.

 

If Tyson jabbed his way in and went to the body, how can Lennox win? Look how Tyson out-jabbed a peak Tucker and broke up Biggs (who was schooling Lewis in sparring).

Tyson was the master at moving into range against long jabs, though was often tied up by long arms and refused to infight. Lennox would be relying on his overhand right on the outside and uppercut on the inside, but Tyson had such a concrete chin and Lennox wasn't one to throw more than two punches at once, which was needed to get to Mike.

If Lennox didn't tied him up fast enough, which he really wasn't great at, then at mid-range how does he stand a hope with his leaning defense and Tyson hardly ever throwing less than four punches at once in forward motion?

Tyson was a 42-1 favorite when he got knocked out by Buster Douglas, I think he was still in his prime. Arrogant as **** with firing Kevin Rooney, but still in his prime.

 

Totally, hell Dan needs to put on a few pounds if you ask me. Must be working out too hard.

 

This analysis just seems like a cheap way of creating a situation in which you can claim Tyson was a better boxer than Lewis. Any other way of looking at it, resume, reign at the top, beating everyone he faced, amateur pedigree and Olympic Gold medal, Lewis shits all over Iron Mike. Plus I seem to remember Mike Tyson being on the floor more often during his career than Lennox Lewis????

fat boy speaks again. sky have him on sometimes to hear what his views are.. he contradicts himself all the time. one minute haye's a coward and a nobody, the next, great and really good for boxing. he's two faced. he simply hasn't got anything interesting to say. he also talks like he was dropped on his head as a baby... he wasn't was he?

tyson stands no chance against lewis. that jab would be too much of a problem. once he's slowed tyson's bursts coming forward.. it all over. just like it was when they fought.

it took lewis one round to settle down and break tyson to bits... in his prime? three or four rounds tops. then comes the domination.

 

There's a reason he was a 42-1 favourite. Although it hadn't been seen for two years. He was clearly not at his best against Spinks, Bruno or Williams - loads of subtle qualities missing.
