Dan Rafael reporting Hopkins-Adamek being discussed for HBO in July

I just can't see Adamek able to get around BHOP's punch and hold...I mean bhop is a smart fighter...Adamek is a strong fighter but BHOP has good ring smarts!

 

And yet Hopkins refuses to fight Dawson. What is it with this man and whitey? Dawson beat Adamek, Dawson vs Hopkins is a far better fight!

 

You know, after the RJJ rematch fell through, I had always put more of the onus on Hopkins because I thought Hopkins really needed the fight more not only to avenge the loss, but because he needed it on what was a pretty shallow resume. But, the last few years, he's proven me completely wrong because I thought he'd never move up to test himself against the top dogs in the bigger divisions. Yeah, Pavlik and Wright were 10 pounds over their best, but in a string of fights that includes Jermain twice, Tarver, Wright, Calzaghe, Pavlik, and now possibly Adamek, even that's OK.

I was wrong about Hops, and he's gained alot in my eyes over the past 4 years. I'm hoping for a quality fight out of this, and that's it. Even though I usually like Adamek's fights more, I can't really root against Hopkins.

 

I'd like to see this fight, I expect Hopkins to win a UD.

 

Sounds good. I'd favor Hops to outbox the champion here, but I think Adamek at the very least has what it takes to push Bernard into a good and competitive fight. It's been a while since Hops has had one of those. He's had competitive fights in the last few years, but not good competitive fiights. Lets just hope Adamek can change that trend.

 

I don't know if Adamek can lay a good glove on B-Hop.
