It's a shame if Dirrell's once promising career is over in the blink of an eye....It doesn't have to be career full of taking hard shots...Just the right punch at the wrong time to end a career and leave a lasting affect on a mans life. I'm as cynical as anyone, but a mans well being is worth more to me then my lust for blood and guts in the ring.

How can you people blame direll for being sick?

This is a very sad news, only shows how dangerous the sports of boxing is.

First of all Fat Rafael said the punch was to the temple. It wasn't. It was right on the chin. It's a shame that Dirrell career might be over but I still wonder whether it is entirely true. I can't believe that he won't be fighting anymore. Forgot which journalist mention that Dirrell punch resistance was low and that it was visible even during sparring session. Hardly believe it either. This whole situation is beyond weird

it was a strong punch, but less face it, it was less than a foot away when he cracked him...he didnt throw it from off his foot and pivot...that was a very short punch.....

you cant make a blanket statement like that and say because he wasnt aware its worse than ANY punch you receive alert . I call bull**** on that :nono
yes abrahams punch was hard and it did knock him loopy...but it was a punch that was 12-16 inches away when he swung it , almost in a scooping mode. It just didnt generate enough steam to do have that kind of effect IMO. Getting hit by a right hand from left field by a monster puncher like Tim Witherspoon, even for a spilt second you see it coming, its gonna do do the same type of damage and put you to sleep.... not to mention...how about the guys who are out cold and as they are falling get smashed again?
like ruddock did dokes? give me abrahams scoop punch any day of the week while not look over these dudes :deal

From this angle you can see that AA puts his hips into this shot and follows through. Lands right on the bottom of the chin. The people who claim this shot had noting on it are either blind or who knows what.

This is why I was infuriated after the fight. How the **** is that not a blatant and malicious hit when he fully set himself up to throw it and followed through with bad intentions. That clown should have been suspended for this ***** ass ****.

None of what you guys are saying changes the fact March 28th gets the full work over in hospital, nothing, nada, zip.
Today without even having ONE sparring session he has neurological problems.
So where where have these problems been for the last 6 1/2 months, why aren't you even asking the question!!!
