This sounds like the kind of excuse I would use to call in sick for work.

    No MRI's needed.

Dirrell fell down on canvas, complained, held and ran. I think he was afraid of Ward and wanted his fight in his home town. I posted a long time ago that Dirrell/Ward would not happen. Bute should take Dirrell's place, but then Ward would pull out of the tournament.

The more I look at that the more obvious it becomes that the guy moved his arm out of the way before he rolls over.

Bert cooper got hit about 50 times with upercuts like that from evander in the 6th round...... the guy got hit hard and he wasnt excpecting it, but the punch came from 12 inches and scooped up and while making contact..ive watched thousands of fights and fought amateur and ive seen incredible slug fests where guys get hit a hundred brutal shots some alot harder, some maybe not...but 100 of them landing flush on a guy with no defense is till alot ****ing worse than 1 punch when you aint lookin

What a load of ****. Dirrell is boxing since what, age 10, 12? He has been hit in the head thousands of times in sparring and fights, including taking some flush legal shots from Froch and Abraham, who are hard hitters. Then he sinks to the canvas, gets hit with a, yes, illegal punch but one where Abraham simply let his extended arm swing and has a dealyed reaction of dying swan...and now that one punch ended his career???

Dirrell took harder shots from Arthur in that fight while he was on his feet. Legit DQ, but the illegal blow wasn't damaging, it was more of a slap than a power punch.

You all realize though that Direll is going straight to retirement after this. You can't claim neurological damage and be back to fighting just like that. He is probably getting his licence revoked in some state commissions as we speak.

I don't think he is killing his career just to avoid one fight. Just sayin.

    WRONG !!!
The punch was so devastating that has caused Dirrell multiple mental and physical illnesses. After that punch he had
1 ChickenPhobia (manifested during Froch fight to- triggers an involuntary reflex - Kneeling down in face of danger reapeared in AA fight prior to the punch that ended his career )
[ I swear this is a true story:
When i was little i had " a favorite chicken " at my grandparents house (farm if you like) . I was fascinated by that chicken as a little kid cuz when i run after her and corner her she was sitting down and stop moving (poor chicken probably scared to death). But i found that very entertaining and after that i could catch her and pet her. So because i loved that chicken so much my Grand parents kept her alive more than all others. In the end killed her because she was getting to old to be good for food. But she survived more that any other chicken's up there. ]
2 Acute ***** disease ( an aggravation of an old illness)
3 Epilepsy Imitation (occurred immediately after touching canvas)
    4 0.5 seconds Memory ( I got knocked out - no you didn't - I got Ko'd )
5 Claustrophobia ( Let me breath dawg )
    6 Agliophobia
and many others that i do not remember

How many times do you see a 'brutally knocked out' fighter go down holding his face? Holding your face is a concious action, not something the body naturally does when the body is short circuited from a heavy blow as is the case in a knock out.

This whole thing sounds a bit dodgy to me, don't trust Dirrell at all. Wouldn't be surprised if he's back fighting before too long.

It's still not effectively killing his livelihood.
