According to ESPN's Dan Rafael, the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Maweather fight will be in early 2010. Pac supposedly has a fight scheduled for March 13, 2010. There were reports earlier of their fight to be on May 1, 2010. But, this can not be true since Pacman has political elections in his country in May. So, a fight in May most likely will not happen. If what Dan Rafael says is true, we may see this fight of the century as early as March.:happy:hey:good
Doubt it. They are still negotiating and that will need time for training camps and also the promotional tours which will probably last a month at least. Plus they need to build up a little more anticipation.
It sure can be made in March...that promotion would just sell by itself and I'm guessing the marketing strategies are already in place. They are just waiting for the OK to get it going... dan rafaels a fat **** who knows **** all about boxing. no way this fight happens earlier than may. a fight of this magnitude needs 6 months prep and promotions. they ll need to do press conferences in a least 5 cities like dela hoya mayweather- perhaps even a few countries like the phillipines and england as they do for hatton fights. they ll need to have manny heal and prepare- freddy says he wants six months. the fight prep alone for traiining camp will be 3-4 months standard. plus you have all the other side promotions, trailers, t shirts, tv shows, sponsorship deals that these guys will put on. trust me- there will be nothing like it ever- it ll be like the superbowl and march madness combined in terms of magnitude and promotions. something of that size takes time- and to be honest i dont mind waiting as long as they do it well. a fight like this comes along once every 20 years- the last thing you do is rush it - and **** it up - its like blowing your load on a playboy model cos uve pumped in right away. best to work the titties and best they take their time- do it right- milk it for every dollar its worth- and maximise revenue . i do think the can take too long- where the time and money benefit will start to dip off- killing anticipation- b

This fight will happen mid-2010 at the soonest. Manny's running for a seat in congress so I doubt he could pull off anything earlier than that.
This fight will not happen until May for the simple reason that - as Freddie Roach has told you many, many times - Manny needs a longer training camp than usual to prepare for a completely different opponent than his last 2 (3 I guess) fights. Learning to deal with Floyd is going to take a while and Roach won't let him fight until he's got his **** down.
