I don't disagree that Floyd has seemed to never really want the fight, and he is the one who's ALWAYS had the power to make it IF he really wanted it.

But Pac has done his fair share of waffling as well, and in the end, I hope they both end up miserable, broke, and disgraced. But I'd still like to see the fight first.

    Yep.

On the one hand we have the bitter little fella who got passed over on account of his not being sufficiently notable, grinding away at his axe.

On the other hand, we have Foreman, Hagler, Duran, Mosley, Holyfield, Roy Jones, BHop, Tim Bradley, Oscar and a host of others who are of the opinion that Floyd fears Pac.

Floyd doesn't want the fight, isn't it obvious? Who has been walking away from 100 mil + for 4 years now? It's insane, similar to Klitchko-Lewis rematch that never happened.

Sure is, Lewis walked away from career high payday, that's what Floyd is doing now, funny because he calls himself MONEY and loves money, so why not pocket biggest purse in boxing history?!

It's all so grimly predictable. I feel foolish for managing to convince myself that this time it was finally gonna happen.

I like both guys, as I liked both Tyson and Lewis, and just love the occasion of a mega-fight. I consider myself a hardcore boxing fan, but a mega-fight is so addictive, regardless.

Anyway, it is once again looking like it's not gonna happen. Too many egos. I don't like pointing fingers, but it really seems like Mayweather is the problem here. He just either has such an ego that he can't negotiate like a normal person, or...he fears losing to Pac (not fears Pac, fears losing).

The worst thing in all of this, is that Mayweather has got everyone talking about BUSINESS rather than BOXING. That is his legacy on these forums at least. His followers always talk business, and quote Floyd on his business practices. Who gives a damn? Boxing fans shouldn't care - that stuff should be taken care of out of sight - it's none of our business. I can't stomach seeing partisan fans defending Floyd by quoting business and figures and backstage politics. It's a real curse on the sport. What other sport do you have to listen to this garbage in?

Sorry, rant over. Just disillusioned now. Floyd and Pac should be shining examples of the sport that they received so much from. Instead, the payback is Floyd has people more interested in business than boxing. Sigh.

Look, it's obvious Floyd still wants to duck this fight. It's difficult to negotiate with a coward who never wanted this fight to protect the 0 and wants to take on low risk fights. If you can't see this by now, you're never going to see it.

I take everything I hear about Pac-Floyd fight with a pinch of salt but it seems fairly reputable coming from Fat Dan who is largely a good journalist and very well conneted, despite all the jokes about him.

He is a good source, and a well connected one. I believe him. It's not as if he has a history of anti-Floyd/pro-Pac rhetoric when it's come to the possibility of this fight happening over 5+ years.

I'd like to see a link that Floyd isn't trying too. Even from Dan, it's hear-say.

The fact that both camps are silent is good news imo.

You talk like you have inside sources. Just because the negotiations aren't public, doesn't mean it isn't happening. Nobody has seen a Pac contract or his offers.

    Just stop.
