Dan Rafael says Tim Bradley is passing on the fight with Amir Khan

Kerry Davis again on the habit of cuddling his favorite type of boxers even when they are not yet proven and had little box office potential messed up the 140-pound division tournament.

After giving Bradley (and Alexander) a guaranteed $1.5M purse for his next fight, Davis just made another boxing primadonna. It means Bradley could cherry pick his next fight and still earn $1.5M. No, he don't have to face Khan, he don't have to work his butt off, he already had free meal ticket courtesy of his lousy match up with Alexander.

Gone were the days when boxers would jump at the opportunity to fight the toughest match available because that is the only way that they would earn big money and become more famous. You may justify Pac and Floyd if they act like primadonnas because they have actually earned their way at the top. But these days, you have guys who haven't proved anything yet who are acting like Divas because of the kind of pay check they are getting

 

Pac is the fight opportunity of a lifetime. I can't blame him if he holds off to see what happens with Marquez.

 

Hell, why not Marquez-Bradley. Pac can wait. JMM knows he's the most marketable opponent out there for him right now. A 4th title before Pac sounds good to me.

unfortunately you are right...but , thats my one turn off about pac, hes the biggest name in boxing right now...i dont like that he cant seem to muster up his opinion of who to fight, rather than say i will leave that up to bob arum...hes beyond that now....hes earned the right to call the shots

good point, amir should fight judah on july 23, it makes sense. Morales should target bradley in my opinion.

 

I am going to Vegas on the weekend of July 23rd so really am hopeing there is a Khan fight there ! But if not well Im in Vegas :good

It's quite funny.

When Khan talks about fighting fighters at the level of Mayweather and Pacquiao in 18 months when he's matured.....people tell him to STFU and not be so arrogant. Now Bradley's banking on a Pacquiao fight.....people are saying it's a wise move. Which, to be fair, it is a wise move and you can't blame him for it. But I can't help but wonder what the attitudes would be if the roles were reversed, and it was Khan who went against his word and dismissed the July 23rd he had promised us.

And trust me, even if the Pacquiao fight wasn't on the table, Bradley still would not be accepting a Khan fight next. It's pretty clear that he wants a comfortable bout next to cash in on the easy 1.2 million sitting in his lap.

 

You have no idea how sick this move by Bradley has made me.
