Dan Rafael Shocking Lack of Professionalism

You can sell a fight on your actual style. Slick fighters have sold fights on their slickness, talking about how the opponent won't be able to touch them, that they're too fast, etc, etc, etc.

Haye was talking about Wlad being boring. Haye was MORE boring. He was talking about Wlad being scared and he fought scared himself. He deserves all the **** he's getting and that's not even remotely close to being a valid excuse.

Have you seen the Wlad - Rahman fight? Now there is a fighter who came only for a paycheck.

If Haye came for a pay then i doubt he would have fought the whole twelve, trying to land hayemakers on Klit. Especially if he was injured, which he was.

Yes Haye floped a couple time but many time Wlad did put weight on him or even wrestled him to the ground on one occasion. Why should he squat a 120 kg man off of himself if he can go down instead?

And as far as the Haye talking goes you have to be a novice of a boxing fan to not understand that it was only to make Klit fight angry (which failed) and to sell the fight (which succeeded).

 

Well maybe if Klit wouldn't have grabbed Haye in panic every time Haye got close we could have had a more exciting fight.

Haye fought scared? Haye fought smart - ducking and dodging the jab, trying to explode with big punches. But like he said, he could'nt explode like he wanted to, becouse of his foot.

 

The biggest problem with Rafael is that he's been emboldened by the legion of sycophants who titter at all his inside jokes. These are people who, as difficult as it is for those of us with body fat < 30% to believe, actually look up to Rafael.

In truth, he's a good reporter who is one of the few reliable news sources in boxing. He cleans up a lot of the messes created at the various websites. For that, he's quite good.

But any matter of opinion exposes him as a deluded fat **** with no friends. He takes way too strong a position on issues he can't possibly fathom, and his scoring also tends to be horrific.

It's fine for him to bash Haye -- who certainly brought it upon himself -- but the fact that he thinks the "toe" puns are so clever tells you all you need to know about the man.

 

Dan 'the hut' Rafael would struggle to fit between the ring-ropes, much less actually box anyone. He should show fighters more respect even if their performance doesn't meet his lordship's personal approval.

i was going to make a post about this but didnt get around to it....

this guy is annoying....i met him at the pac/hatton weigh in....my boy talked to him and i just stood and watched because i think he sucks

you can hate on a guy...but he goes overboard....haye laced em up...took his shots like a man...whatever...he has to live with it....

but the way he talks about certain guys....like haye...the way he talked about briggs...and the way he talks about floyd.....rafael is the reason a guy like floyd has a problem with the way hes treated in the media

rafael gushes about a guy like pac because pac lets rafael join him in the hotel room on sunday after the hatton fight...and lets rafael watch the replay...a guy like floyd could care less about rafael.....rafael will drop a line here or there about what a bad fight pac/shane is....just glossing over it real quick and get back to slurping.....all while calling floyd a coward....

it would have been nice for haye to go balls to the walls yesterday.....really go for it....but the guy is a talker...he sold the fight....its entertainment....it was an exciting event until you realized halfway through how it was going to end.....

and this fat, non drinking, herb has a responsibility to the sport he gets paid to cover...hes the main guy on one of the most popular sports websites in the world...casual fans get info from them...and they form opinions based on what he has to say

Rafael and Haye clearly have some animosity for each other someone on another forum said it had to do with Haye cancelling a phone interview with Rafael a while back if true that doesn't warrant him dogging Haye like this.

From what I have seen Rafael has criticized Haye for all his brash and big talk then showing up and basically doing nothing the whole fight. Just about every article I have read no matter by who has said the same thing. The guy talked about brutal KO's and such and showed up and didn't engage, did not attempt to get inside, didn't take any chances, did not try to do anything but last the 12 rounds without getting KOed. And that criticism is correct.

oh man...did haye really cancel a phone interview with dan? wow.....talk about a waste of a busy mans time......rafael had to clean the litter box for his cats....run to quiznos...come home and blog about his favorite kiss album and madonna song......****in haye...he deserves it
