I doubt he said it but yes, at least Andre would be a huge problem for GGG. I'm not really that impressed by "The Dog" though, GGG beats him.

Dirrell could most def be a problem for ggg...Andre ....when this guy was at his best he could best anyone....the guy embarrassed carl crotch in his hometown .....I still don't know what Andre is right now....the de gale fight should give us a decent indication.....I happen to think he'll easily out class DeGale but we just don't know .....a peak (physically) dirrell would tag ggg at will with lasers and make ggg hit air most of the night

Andre gives anyone problems tbh. If he hadn't been robbed in Robbingham and injured so badly from the Abraham cheap shot he could have been a p4p star. He had it all, that schooling of Froch was beautiful. I still think he'll trounce DeGale but I think he's past prime to beat a guy like GGG and he hasn't a chance versus Ward either. I would love to have seen the Dirrell from the Froch fight vs GGG. Would be a great clash of styles.

    Never rated anthony much tbh.

Good post.....the dirrell from the crotch fight would embarrass ggg easily....and u are right....a cheap robbery and a cheap punch cost dirrell the chwnce at being a star...he would have been a top 5 p4p guy easily......ggg still hasn't fought anyone in the top 150 p4p

Whilst he may have once, I don't think he's the same fighter who fought Froch.

I think he'll suffer the same way he did against Abraham and almost in his last fight. He's fine running, but as the fight wears on and the legs get tired he's prone to getting clipped.

He looked for a way out against Abraham. Whilst ahead on points, Arthur was coming on strong and had at least one legit knockdown ignored.

Let's see how he looks against Degale first.

I totally agree with you man.

Andre Dirrell is such a talented fighter, but everything that transpired after that super 6 tournament really put his career on hold badly. It was terrible to see that he wasn't able to continue on in that tourney after the extremely weird way that Abraham match ended. It just put a halt to a very promising career.

Luckily he's not too old, but he has to start fighting a lot more regularly. I'd like to see him get 3 matches this year and work his way into a big title fight for next year. I agree with you I thought he beat Froch soundly in Froch's own backyard- something like 8-4. I just thought he gave him a boxing lesson for the most part until the mid-late rounds when Carl was getting really physical and "dirty." Still I didn't think it was close at all and I'll never give Carl Froch credit for that win.

I agree with you that Andre can give anyone problems, I always thought he was the only guy that could give Ward some trouble in that tourney. but he has to start fighting more frequently and get that ring rust off him.

They both have a decent chance I think but I'd be more confident in Anthony if he used a jab and grab gameplan he would be the stronger man and has the bigger reach.

From watching that Olympics match Im sure GGG would catch Dirrell, I think he may have even beaten him in the amateurs but he looked fragile in there with the head gear and GGG was able to tag him in the pros he would definetely be caught and knocked out.

Good points. Care if I elaborate.

Andre Dirrel has speed, size, power and discipline to stay outside.

Tony Dirrel doesnt run like Dre, and he'd be KOd inside 3-4 rds, tops. :good

    I agree with Dan .

Dirrell does match up well with Golovkin and should have the advantage . I would even pick him to win against GGG .

    But who knows ? .

As we seen in boxing multiple times , Fights do not always turn out the way there supposed to .

    On paper Dirrell wins .

Come fight night , he could very well lose and easily get laid out .

    It happens .

Andre was broken by Abraham. He hasn't fought anybody decent since then. After he feels Golovkin's jabs, he will be running non-stop until get caught by a power punch.
