Why the hell is Bute - Taylor in the works but Kessler can't be?

Makes no sense on any level.

Ah give the guy a break. He just had back to back fights with andrade (remember what he did to bute?) and then calzaghe. He gets a pass in my book for waiting it out and seeing who is left when the smoke clears.

Taylor Kessler is THE fight for the 168lb division in the post Calzaghe era. The winner would become a very highly regarded champ.

    Exactly.

I'm not saying Kessler is a superstar in America, but he's had more exposure than Bute. Hell, they both fought the exact same fight, except Kessler did it on HBO and Bute Showtime, and Kessler was a hell of a lot more impressive. It can't be money.

Kessler is widely recognised as the best fighter in the division, so Taylor would get more props.

    I don't get it.

Tayor vs Bute makes more sense than Taylor or Bute vs Kessler.

The winner of Taylor/Bute vs Kessler, now that makes sense. Right now Kessler is too big a step for either Taylor or Bute.

Who the hell did Bute fight in that other one?

Kessler was on HBO, Bute was on Showtime. Kessler's exposure was more positive, it was a domination whereas Bute nearly gets his ass knocked out.

The exposure is not the same, and even if it was equal it would still make no sense.
