Why would Kessler be guranteed to fight the winner. If he can't get it now why would he in the future. For all we know, Taylor and his management mioght already be deciding to take the "easiset" route through 168. Bute, Froch/Pascal, Green, Bika before moving up to 175 for a fight with Dawson.

Why wouldn´t it be on PPV in Denmark??

I think the amount of viewers would be roughly the same, the american viewer turns in to see Taylor, not Bute or Kessler!

Taylor's not going to 175, Smazzo...not for a long time, if ever. Taylor WILL fight Kessler; he's never ducked anyone, but he'll fight him when the risk/reward is right. It isn't right now...and Taylor has only fought one fight at 168 so far...so why are you expecting him to jump right up to the top of the tree, when there's a very good fight and good risk/reward fight to be made against Bute first? Are you expecting Taylor to retire after his next fight? No? So what's the rush? Is Kessler retiring after his next fight? :huh

If the money is right for Taylor to move to 175, he will. As I said, i'd have no problem with a Bute/Taylor fight. I think it's a fascinating match up. But where does Kessler go? He'd have to move to 175 to have any sort of stateside exposure. He's already beaten Andrade, who is a top 4 SM along with Bute and Taylor. Inkin, Froch/Pascal being the other title holder's won't exactly draw huge interest from American fans. Not all to do with America I know, but i'd just like Kessler to do what a lot of Europeans fail to do and break the American market. But if it did work out as you say and Kessler decided to relieve one of the other's of their belt, then a fight with the winner of Taylor/Bute is an even greater fight to make.

I share your concerns about Kessler. He's being very badly managed. Even when he does get a break against an American name like Dawson, his management decline it.

I'm not sure what plans Palle has for Kessler, but my guess is that if they cannot get a shot at Hopkins straight away, they'll take a shot at Froch, if Froch beats Pascal. Froch has said he wanted it and the Brits will want to see Kessler (in Britain) again. Kessler has quite a few good options, more than Bute, that's for sure. He doesn't take advantage of them, but that's not Bute's fault, is it...

Also, don't forget that Bute is European too - European/Canadian.;)

Aye, I know. That's part of the reason i'd be keen to see a Bute/Larsen fight in Denmark. Bute wouldn't have a problem with fighting in Europe and it'd give a give an added touch to a Kessler fight. In fact, although i'd marginally favour Bute over Taylor, if Bute did lose, then a Larsen fight would be a percet fallback plan.

It doesn't matter if anyone wins or loses; there's half a dozen or so 28-31 year olds at the top of the division and there's plenty of time for all of them to (re)fight each other as well as take on young'uns like Ward/Dirrell, etc. in the near future. No need to get our knickers in a twist just because our first choice fight isn't getting made first.;)

I expect Bute to be KO'd by Froch anyway so it's pointless banter from Rafael.

Bute's not fighting Froch, mate. Pascal is. Different fighters and all...

Bute vs Taylor is a fight Bute really needs to get exposure !

On the other hand, I think Dibella now sees Bute as a bit damaged goods after Andrade and believes Taylor has a good chance of getting a belt in the process. Then he would have more leverage against Kessler in a unification fight down the line....

I still see Bute winning that fight !!

Precisely! Ironically, Bute has a higher chance of getting this fight after all that happened in the last round than if he had won the last round...that is boxing....:patsch

His fight against Andrade was PPV; it's usually on free TV. His fight against Taylor would be on PPV too...not sure what numbers him and Andrade made...:think
