why Lucian Bute wasnt in the Super6 Tourney?
so far, ive seen 3 feasible answers so far, garnished off the forum, cuz i honestly dont know the real answer myself.

    1) One poster has said that there wasnt enuf money to entice in Bute's promotions...

    2) One poster said ShowTime wanted to have 3 americans vs 3 europeans, and didnt have enuf room for him.... (take into consideration that both Kessler and Abraham is under Sauerland Promotions, so that would have left one spot open - Froch over Bute... and maybe they wanted specifically Over-the-Seas Europeans)

    3) Booradley just said that Bute is specifically an HBO boxer, so there would be a contractual conflict basically....

    Its True.
IT will be something like 1a 1b
with the winner of the super six being 1a.

^ Whatever the reason, one blowfish don't stop no show. The hell with Bute and his nobody fighting self. He is not the officially acknowledged leading contender in the SMW division, and for good reason.

    IMO....

Yes, they will be, with Bute being nothing more then a rightful challenger to their throne, and should they beat Bute afterwards, he will be simply another gem on their crown, no more important then any of the other fighters they beat in the S.6 save Green....

So IMO, they will be, but Bute will be their main priority (or more accurately, they should be Butes priority....)

    That's how I see it!
None of the Super 6 should even be thinking about Bute. Rather, it is Bute that should be thinking and preparing for the winner of the Super 6. Fighting the tournament alone places each SS member a couple steps beyond Bute in level of competition faced. Even Super 6 losers should be ahead of Bute. If anything, Bute should be happy to fight one or more of the tournament's losers even before he gets to fight the winner. :deal

he just got ko´d by Andrade when the super six was planed. that fight was on Showtime afair.
    He had to rematch him
and became big because of his performance in the rematch
The S6 guys admitted various times that they didnt offer him to take part.
obviously they prefered Taylor over him at that time. and maybe DiBella over Interbox and USA vs Euro. If Sauerland had failed to sign with Kessler Bute maybe would have been in too..

Whoever says whoever wins the super 6 tournament needs to fight Bute first to became the man is a ******. Whoever wins the super six tournament is the king of this division cause that winner would have beat way way way better fighters in that tournament then any of Bute resumes. I mean damn Bute best win is beating Andrade.

Dan makes some very solid points. If the winner of the super six doesn't fight the Bute, then the tournament is non sequitar.

If Bute ever face Dawson. But beating Dawson won't proved anything until Bute face the winner of the super six. But whoever wins the super six is the man.

Most likely, the winner of the Super Six will be ranked #1 at 168 and Bute #2, and then they should square off.

The winner don't need to fight Bute to prove that winner is the best. Bute hasn't beat anybody that is even close to any of the super six level.

At 175 or a catchweight? (Unless Dawson comes down to 168, which he won't)

That won't have jack**** to do with the 168lb picture, will it?

Moving up in weight for a "superfight" has nothing to do with someone's standing in their primary division. IE when Pavlik lost to Hopkins he didn't suddenly lose ground at Middleweight.
