It's more about trying to squeeze money out of Goossen to give to his buddy Antonio Leonard than anything else.

Leonard never promoted shyt, and Ward thought he was entitled to a piece of the pie when they never had a written agreement about it. Goossen ain't no fool, and he won.

Leonard was Ward's co-promoter right? I never looked closely into it but Ward did lose every single lawsuit against Goosen :think

Looking forward to seeing him at LHW. A genuinely excellent boxer.

A business man who doesn't do business with Roc Nation. Ward-Stevenson isn't happening any time soon.

That's one of the most often repeat stupid statements of the site.
Roc Nation has only been around for a couple year and has only just signed Cotto and Ward.
To believe Roc Nation fighters and Al Haymon fighters will never meet is just light years beyond stupid.

Al Haymon is a control freak and a failed promoter, he cannot make a fight to save his life unless an organization holds his greasy paw and orders a purse bid as he throws a temper tantrum like a 4 year old.
He's also scared to death of anyone who can possibly outbid him: Ryabinsky, Roc Nation etc.

    See Quillin-WBO debacle.

Yeah, let's just forget about the Beyonce beef, playa.

Nevermind Jay-Z offering Haymon fighters ridiculous amounts to cross over and sign with him... :patsch

I stopped reading right there. Nuff said. That completely explains why Haymon would completely throw his business acumen out the door.
    Great job! :good

It's a long read, but it's all there. That's a few months before Goossen won the second lawsuit.

I don't know if the bad blood between Haymon and Jay-Z can be settled, it could but It'll take some time. Like I said, Ward-Stevenson is not happening anytime soon.

Suppose Pacquiao was a Roc Nation fighter.
Do you believe Mayweather-Pac wouldn't have happened simply because of Haymon and Jay-Z's personal feelings?
Jay-Z isn't a business person, but Al is.
Ward-Stevenson would be a big fight. It will probably happen. :yep
