If I was eating in a restaurant and you served my food or Bussed my table, then I offered you a job at my restaurant making 3 times the money, you'd thank me too. :yep
Not if that restaurant was owned by Al Haymon. Then, despite your generous and financially superior offer, QuadrupleG would spit on your burger for the insult. Kind of like Broner calling a $40 million Roc Nation contract BS.
What title is contested at 164 again, I am not familiar with it. Not saying it doesn't exist, but please enlighten us.
This spells the end of Ward as a top fighter. It was a good run Andre "Road Warrior" Ward..... He will br decimated
Ward was fighting as a light heavyweight in the amateurs, he was draining himself to fight at 168. Problem is, he can only fight a handful of fighters at 175, and there's no way he'll fight the most dangerous ones.
He was 171 or 172 fighting in the 178 lb. amateur LHW division He beat Clemente Russo, one of the great amateur heavyweights of all time, at 172 lbs. BTW, Russo was not "too young" at the time; he's two years OLDER than Ward. US Amateur Boxing asked him to move to LHW because they wanted their two best amateurs on the team (Ward, Dirrell, their only two medal winners.) GGG fought at 165 in the amateurs, and as real fans know there is no SMW division in the amateurs, or both Ward and Golovkin, probably would have been in it.
Andre Ward is going to be P4P no.1 and prove himself an ATG after he beats the killers at 175lbs. Forget GGG, he's too small and now Ward is looking to bigger skilled guys like Kovalev.
