Yeah it's a stupid comment. He's suppose to be a neutral boxing journalist, and a renowned one at that. His continuous bashing of Haye is tedious, and it really should stop now that Haye has finally done what we wanted him to do.

I'm not saying he has to approve of anything any fighter may do. I'm not even a Haye fan, I dont mind who wins I'm just glad we're getting the big heavyweight fight the boxing world craves. However, if you want to be looked upon as a respectable journalist, petty name-calling wont help. You see many good boxing writers disapproving of a fighters actions, but that doesn't mean they act childishly about it.

Not to get back into this age old debate, I don’t think it was the fans that encouraged it at all. Haye had improved his bargaining position by claiming the WBA belt. That was why he was more willing to come to terms, because he could control it.

But as Gaz said earlier, if he could make £10m fighting an easy fight, he probably would. And I expect it’s the same for Wlad. There’s no one else out there for the brothers except Haye.

Rafael has basically been a full member of the Klits PR team with his Haye bashing. He has a personal agenda against Haye and Booth,he was called a keyboard warrior by Booth, and Haye gave Rafael the cold shoulder treatment when they last met according BN he will not forget these things and Haye could beat both Klits and Rafael would still hate on him.

Gaz was on fire in this thread. Genuinely made me :rofl on a few occasions.

ESPN would be far better off giving me Rafaels job.

I lost all respect for Haye when he stuck two fingers up at his fans (and the sport) and went for the blatant cashgrab against a complete and utter bum in Audley Harrison.

Before that I was starting to lose patience but willing to give him a pass..... no more.

I'm glad that his reputation amongst the hardcore fans of boxing has taken a bashing and was rightly acknowledged in Boxing News.

Steve can peddle all the Haye propaganda he likes, but it's a current lack of credibility that is making him take this fight, not the £££, which he could probably earn elsewhere.

Like BrummyLad says, he's gonna lose this one but will go up in the estimation of boxing fans for taking on the biggest challenge (subject to actually fighting this time) out there for him.

Hopefully he'll then call it quits and leave it to the proper fighters who want to fight and entertain, rather than talk shite on TV and radio.

Of course fan power has made Haye go fight Wad.

After all, he bowed down to the millions (and millions) who emailed him and ended up fighting Audley:thumbsup

    :yep

I bet those two had a right laugh after the fight.

''People actually believed that we hated each other!''

''Pass me another beer..... here's to friendship and millions of £'s''

In a way it kinda reminds me of the Only Fools & Horses episode where those two Indians flog those mini idol things for £2000 each and drive off in a car laughing :roll:

I don't think he will but if he were to knock out both brothers now, I'm sure its gonna pain you to consider him an ATG....but you'll have to if you consider yourself a "hardcore boxing fan" ;)

Undisputed cruiserweight champion, he'd then be undisputed heavyweight champion having beaten the two most dominant HW fighters this side of Lennox Lewis and he beat an Olympic gold medallist :)lol:)

If he beats Wlad he'll make it 2 :hey

If I'm ranking him, I'd rather he beat Wlad twice than once each - I think Vitali has slipped enough to make Haye a reasonably priced favourite over him to be honest.

If he proves himself at HW he'll have my respect, though I still won't like him. Much in the way that I respect but dislike lots of elite sportspeople.
