best sentence of the whole article..

(Side note: Would you really want Pacquiao, a guy who once signed a contract with Top Rank and then accepted a bag full of cash from Golden Boy to also sign with that company, representing you in government? But I digress.)

I never said he was afraid to fight Clottey...just pointing out the fact that he didn't defend his title against his mandatory opponent, which was Josh Clottey...so he lost the belt...the belt that Manny has now.

Did I say anything that wasn't true?

I love how Floyd is the "villian" and Manny is the cute, little, innocent and honest filipino man who everyone loves and loves his country and fights for the "right" reasons. At least Floyd admits it, he fights for money. Manny fights for the fans right? riiiiiigggght? that's why his fight with Hatton almost fell apart over like 1% of the purse more he wanted  Bob Arum said he's an "honest kid" 2 weeks after he got caught cheating on his wife :rofl Then there is also the example you quoted :deal Right, this guy has "too much character" not to take supplements. :bart

    Technically you were wrong!

So you're saying that Williams relinqhished his title to avoid Clottey...Dont try to switch it up now! You must forgot about this post!

Yes I did post that...he did relinquish his title...Clottey was his mandatory. True.

Hence, you could say that Paul Williams avoided his mandatory opponent.

So did I say something that wasn't true? Are you admitting that you recognize this to be true as well?

I was implying that...I'll admit that. I think Paul's handlers are doing what Floyd has done for the past 8 years: Jumping in and out of every weight class to avoid facing the toughest fighters of each weight class. Notice how he claims that he is the most avoided fighter in boxing, but doesn't have a title....hmmmmmmmmmmmm?

I never said Paul Williams was afraid of any man though.

You're making it seem that Paul is running scared of Clottey so yes you did make a false statement...You're really trying to be slick and I'm not falling for that! You're making it seem that Paul ducked Clottey when he's faced better comp. than Clottey!

By rule, yes he did give up his belt to fighter a stiffer challenge...that part I'll give you but reading your post...your making it seems that Paul was in fear of fighter Clottey! Thats what one can grasp from reading your post!

Kind of like how most people on this forum are assuming that Pac is guilty because he doesn't want Floyd dictating the terms of the drug testing.

Just your perception of my post, my friend.

i didn't state anything that wasn't true...btw, who was the "more stiff" competition? More deserving than Josh Clottey? Deserving enough to relinquish your title? Was it for a lot more money? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Nope...not yet...as soon as tickets go on sale, I'm grabbing em.

if you guys haven't been at the new Cowboy Stadium, you're missing out. I really wished the Floyd/Pac fight could have happened at Cowboy Stadium...it is a venue that is completely deserving of a superfight!! Because of the giant screen, there isn't a bad seat in the house.

If anyone is in the area, i would strongly suggest checking out Jerry's Death Star!!:good
