Good list for boxing. [Though, I really wouldn't have BHOP on the list anymore or that high up for sure] Poor list for ESB. You need one or two token "white" guys on the list or the place will have its usual pussyache. When there aren't any real ones just put on an imaginery one instead, here this will help .. put 1 in the top 5 (we'll put him tied for 5th) and another in the bottom 5 (tied for 10th) like this: 1. Manny "Pac Man" Pacquiao 2. Floyd "Money" Mayweather 3. Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins 4. "Sugar" Shane Mosley 5. Paul "The Punisher" Williams 5. Big Jim "Mark The Strong In Europe" 6. Miguel Angel Cotto 7. Juan Manuel "Dinimita" Marquez 8. Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire 9. Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon 10. "Bad" Chad Dawson 10. GI Joe "Man With the Kung Fu Grip" There we go. When you've got 90-99% of one type or group in the posting population on an internet website representing the majority ya need to throw them a bone (it is a demographic imperative). Now everyone is happy (well, okay, just "happier" then ... hmm, or comparatively more happy than before let's say).
like???????????????? lost to jermain taylor 2wice, calslappy. he only beats little guys winky and pavlik

Murat and Campillo weren't even top 10 at 168; now, Campillo's a LHW champion by beating Shumenov and Garay in their back yards. Pascal couldn't beat Froch at 168. So, half the beltholders are guys who couldn't do it at 168. I bet you'll see more 168 pounders notice that and try to move up for easier paths to titles. As much as people rag on heavyweights, it's not near so bad that Cruiserweights are coming in and picking up belts left and right. Tarver and Johnson are the biggest names remaining, but on the wrong side of 40- same with Roy. Cloud's got potential if his team actually kept him active, but he's not skilled enough yet to be able to just fight once or twice a year and maximize his performances. Inactivity pretty much screwed Diaconu, too. Shame because they're both exciting fighters. Overall, LHW is a division with potential in some of its younger fighters, but if we're going on pure quality right now, it's in a transitional phase and the top 10-15 quality is relatively weak. That's a big reason I'd love to see Chad Dawson move to 168, even if he's not in the tournament. Beating a fighter like Lucian Bute would mean more to his resume right now than any fighter not named Hopkins, and even then, I have to wonder how much credit Chad would actually get for beating Hopkins.
Dont really agree, but some valid points. However its fair to say Flyweight is the weakest division in boxing. Its only slight saving grace was the fact that until recently Donaire was campaigning there.
Good points there and I give Chad a great deal of credit for outboxing and outlasting Adamek like he did. I suspect he'll carry a pretty wide decision over Glen coming up here. Hopefully, he can land a fight with Hopkins afterwards, but I can't say I'll hold my breath for it. We'll agree to disagree about the overall quality of light heavyweight, as evidenced by my prior post. :good
Yeah, Flyweight's not looking so hot either. I'll give you this much, there's at least some exciting potential matchups at LHW if they get made- but getting them made's been the issue there for awhile now. Diaconu-Cloud would be a nice start to getting some fireworks back at 175.:thumbsup
Personally I feel Light heavyweight is underrated like light middleweight. By that I mean the fact is that I think its underrated as people are saying they're weak division, whereas I think they're good divisions, just not divisions with elite fighters, but divisions with lots of good, b level fighters and some great matchups.
Who the hell is Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire????? Man i wacth a lot of boxing but this guy just flew under my radar.
