To say media should be pushing promoters or fighters or fans is a bit awkward. And just wrong.

Spence was on ESPN First Take last week, if this fight happens on ESPN they will promote the **** out of it. Will truly be a 'breakout' moment for whoever wins.

Eh, I don't know. Dan Raf is one of the worst parts of this sport, so you won't see me defending him or saying he's above anything. But I really don't think he pushes any agenda with this... It's like how some posters on here have to remind others about promotional realities. And those posters are proven true far more often than those they have to remind to damper expectations.

 

The role of the media is to be the direct channel of communication between the sport/news/whatever they're reporting on.....and in the modern world of social media this works both ways.

The fact it works both ways is perfectly displayed by the fact FatDan is even talking about a fight which apparently 'is not possible'......he's being forced to talk about it as its what fans want.

 

I suppose one must acknowledge the difference between reporting something and speculating on something.
