That was the best Dana White promo I've ever seen. I'd never thought about Barnett and Affliction like that before.

Me neither but I believe Dana is exactly right. If Barnett made the right decision and the big fight with Fedor happens things would likely have turned out alot differently. Affliction might still be putting on fight cards guys like Vitor may never have been signed to the UFC, Fedor being upset might never have happened.

Ooooo look Dana with his "fan" hat on. The reason why Josh isnt in the UFC and wont ever be is because those two hate each other with a passion. Josh has been VERY vocal over the years about his dislike of Dana and the UFC.
Blaming him though as the sole reason for the demise of Affliction - as if Dana gave a **** about Affliction - is a bit asinine as well as short sighted. Affliction bit off way more than they could chew long before Fedor Barnett fell through. That fact that Dana/UFC prevented Affliction from breaking bread doesnt matter anymore? Puhlease
The only good point he made was about Duffee. But then his agent confirmed this a while ago.

Affliction was going out of business even if that event had taken place. If anything the UFC sped up the process by allowing Affliction back in the UFC with the agreement that they would cease all fight promotional operations.

Dana had no problems allowing Sylvia, Sherk and a bunch of other roiders back in the UFC.

The guys full of ****. Baroni and Coleman practically invented juice. Dana had no problem welcoming them back into the UFC. Its just simply a double standard and another dig at Barnett whom he hates.

  9. Wrong - Zuffa was circling around like vultures, having back room deals with Affliction and forcing them to shut down in order to have their clothing line as UFC sponsors. This is why M1-Global didnt chase Barnett for breaking the Affliction III show (they were only disappointed), but M1-Global who co-promoted the event DID sue Zuffa for disrupting an existing deal.

Another point, if Dana cared about fighter welfare and the fans so much then he should look at himself and his organisation. Rampage Jackson is one such unhappy customer along with Carwin who believe that their efforts are not recognised. Rampage and especially Carwin (who only got 40k for his efforts against Brock) should be paid more especially when Dana pockets millions and millions of dollars and many Ferraris while Carwin only got $20k for his effort as the main contender on one of the most highly anticipated UFC event ever.

    look at 6:20 onwards..............

Also if the UFC cared about fighters so much then why did they force TapOut to back out of their Fedor deal, this particular instance caused Fedor roughly a million dollars in sponsorship money.

Finally, Dana should stop worrying about Barnett's past, the guy has already paid for his ways, been an outcast, and lost pay etc. Dana should stop bagging fighters outside his own organisation and be more concerned about his own fighters one who tested positive and the other named by the government as being a beneficiary of illegal performance enhancing drugs.

  13. What Barnett did to that Fedor fight was unforgivable. I blame him for Afflictions crumble and the pay cheques and waste of time of everyone on that card. Not to mention the fans and promotion. The whole affliction experiment was fragile as hell and he ****ed up.

Get a clue mate. Barnett wasnt even close to being the reason why Affliction folded.

Barnett put affliction out of business? Thats such a stupid thing to say. Affliction was dying anyway and that fight wasnt saving them.

Dana White knocking Barnett for denying he took steroids is a joke considering when Sherk denied he took steroids Dan White believed him and then after he served his suspension he got a title shot v Penn straight away. So there was no punishment.

If Dana White think the amount of fighter's testing positive is an indicator of how much PED's are in the sport he clearly is dillusional. PED's are ramant in MMA and anyone who thinks otherwise is living in cloud cookoo land.

Another thing. Doesnt Dana White realise that Barnett was cutting a promo.
