obviously it was awhile ago and he might not be able to make 170 now but you can't be a huge middlweight if you could make 170 only a few years ago, it isn't like he has a massive fram and has packed loads of muscle on (like a fhilo or someone)

Before the Irvin fight Anderson at 205 (weighed in at 206), Anderson said his walk-around weight is usually between 220 and 230. Remember, he KOed Irvin in the first round.

I train with some pro mma guys.
The 155lb fighter is in shape in the low 180s.
The 170lb fighters are in pretty good shape at low to mid 190s; though at least one usually tries to diet to get under 190 before the cut.

So I don't really doubt this report at all, as the fighters at the highest professional levels have the weight cutting down to a science.

Yeah Anderson's weight fluctuates between 215-230. In an interview Machida said he is around 215 Big Nog has said he is about 225. He's said hes around 220-230.

On the video. I don't like how Dana was talking about A. Silva. Aside from that he seems to be really looking out for Chuck and they are good friends and that is good to see that it isn't always all business.

Also I don't think he swore once in the video that it's great, I find it enjoyable to watch his videos with out constant profanity. He really seems like a business man now.

Interesting on what he was talking about chuck being done. I agree i don't want to see him keepon being put to sleep. I got a feeling he thinks he aint done yet though.

I'm just guessing, but his last fight at 170 may have been in Jan. 2002 against Roan Carneiro. His next fight was against Alex Stiebling who I'm pretty sure was at least a middleweight.

  6. Silva is getting WAY too much criticism for this fight and Dana should shut his fat mouth. Leites should look for another line of work if that's the way he wants to fight.

Leites proved hes not a fighter. He should be teaching BJJ, thats about it.

And Dana needs to shutup. If anybody should be criticized it should be Dana and Joe Silva for feeding Silva such lousy fighters.

Every single card I watch of the UFC it has the most one-sided matches ive ever seen. Sadly, the majority of MMA fans love 1 round KO's. I just think it looks pathetic and makes the product look like crap.

Tell it like it is. It's like George Foreman always says "win this fight and look good in the next one."

well as far as the booing goes as someone who was at the fight, it looked really really bad live. i wasn't booing but Anderson looked really bad not just Leites. there was no action at all and Anderson didn't seem to want to fight either.
