Say what you will, Dana loves the sport, I don't see how anybody can doubt that anymore.

He loves money, fame, and power, but he does love and care about the sport.

I don't have a problem with Dana loving the sport or the money or the power. Its the ****ing fame this guy has. You are a promoter Dana I want to see the fights, NOT YOU.

You realize that part of being a promoter is... promoting the fights.. right?
    You know.. talking about them.

Shaw is a moron to assume standing up is fan friendly. It's fan friendly if they are doing good work. Otherwise, there is great action on the mat.

    dana's a tool. he is correct that what they tried to do is wrong, but he's never 100 percent right like some of you imply;

    -he thinks fedor sucks too

-he's destroying the sport because if there's no where else for the fighters to go to make some money but ufc then why pay them anything worth their drawing value? no competition also means it's harder to find new talent so they'll be forcing guys down our throats hoping that someone connects with fans and happens to win so they have a new star.

Here is the interview he refers to

Elite XC consultant Gary Shaw said he wouldn’t hesitate to “go to a fighter and say, ‘We’re looking for a stand-up fight.’ You’re not asking him to throw a fight. You’re talking about a fan-friendly fight, not about protecting Kimbo.”

Shaw said he has urged MMA fighters in the past to maximize the action, to avoid an abundance of yawn-inspiring wrestling.

“Do I think that’s unethical? No,” Shaw said.
“Because in MMA, you get bonus money for a knockout. I don’t see it as unethical . . . asking him to be TV and fan friendly.”

Yes, the sport has been soo destroyed since he took power, its fallen from mainstream popularity, being on regular TV at least 5 times a day, to being off even ppv, and its all Danas fault

As if Dana has never paid a fighter off to keep a fight standing.

Are we supposed to believe that in all these years Dana has never done this?

People would rather see knock outs than submissions.

They would rather see a stand up striking match than a ground match and thats a fact.

Also this is a guy who gave Randy Couture a heavyweight title shot for losing his last fight at lightheavyweight by KO and retiring for ages, then gives a pro wrestler (Brock Lesnar) with a 2-1 record a title shot.

Then he does the the lastest season of TUF and spends most of the time focusing on a meathead **** who makes the sport look bad and refuses to throw him off the show. Lets call it "The Junie Show"

He spends money on a hell of a lot of garbage fighters for the TUF show, then still brings them into the UFC even if theylook pathetic and lose, even though there are tones of better fighters that belong in the UFC.

**** Shaw, White and every other promoter!

Yeah exactly now guys like Tito,Liddell,Couture are as ****ing pouplar as the big name boxers and pro wrestlers which is basically MMAs competition. Before 2004 we never had a live MMA show on cable now we got 3 different companys holding live shows almost monthly. Dana White = Greatest thing to happen to MMA so far.
