Dana on Sylvia: he just made MMA look like a complete joke

that's pathetic, he will have to go to the ultimate fighteratsch I dont like sylvia but the dude was a former 2 time champion. His stand up suck and mercer who is a boxer took advantage of that. Everybody knows you dont try to stand and trade with a boxer. You take him down to the ground like kimbo did and kimbo is a street fighter but he still didn't want to stand with mercer.

Sylvia is stupid for trying to strike with a boxer.

 

Dana once again shows how much of a dickhead he really is. I don't like Silvia at all but please, he could still compete at a high level in the UFC.

 

Dana's just trying to discredit Mercer's victory by saying Sylvia sucks. He don't want to admit that boxing may ever have the up and up over MMA. Joe Rogan had more sense about this whole thing than what Dana does.

Actually, he said Sylvia sucks cuz Sylvia sucks and there wasn't one inaccurate thing that he said in that quote, albeit uncouth.

 

He beat Rico Rodriguez, who had a similar skillset to Mir and may have been a better fighter than Mir.

 

And he lost to Mir who has the exact same skillset as Mir, yet is not a better fighter than Mir.



Btw, I cringe at the notion that Mr. Ricco "no standup" Rodriguez "may have been a better fighter than Mir."

Mir is definitely underrated.

Rico was definitely an A-level fighter, nothing 'cringeworthy' about that.

Sylvia is one of the UFC's best ever champions.

I think hes right that Tim go through TUF to get back into the UFC.

I mean cmon half of his champions the last few years were part time plumbers who got on TUF (Griffin, Rashad).

So Danas right, people who has MMA as a hobby can be a champ in teh UFC just like that, speaks of quality

Tim Sylvia is an awkward looking fighter, who everyone seems to hate persoanlly for some reason, but he is by no means a bum.

He's a two-time UFC Champion.

He has two wins over Arlovski, who was seen as an unstoppable juggernaut at the time. He beat Rico when he was in shape and one of the best heavies in the world, he battered Cabbage when he was seen as the next thing in the UFC heavyweight division. He also shared the ring/cage with the best three heavies ever, ableit in losing fashion.

Admittedly the best heavyweights were all in Pride, but remember when Sylvia and Cabbage WERE UFC's heavyweight division?

Only a complete MMA neophyte would favorably compare an absolute scrub like Cheik Kongo to him. If Sylvia is a bum, everyone but about 5 fighters are.
