Dana on Sylvia: he just made MMA look like a complete joke

I wouldn't call sylvia a bum, but his wins over AA are what it's based on, why on earth he thinks his standup is so great I have no idea, he really believes he has pro boxing potential or it might be his manager putting him up to this. He couldn't out strike Randy couture over 5 rounds but thinks he can box???

 

I also thought Sylvia made MMA kind of a joke, for the longest time nobody could beat him now anybody seems to be able to make an easy nights work out of him. He is a former UFC champ and its kind of sad to see him failing like this.

How did he make MMA look like a joke. Anything can happen and Mercer executed his art - boxing.

People are really down on Sylvia but he barely had a chance to show what his game plan was. Mercer saw a big target stand there and he unleashed the bomb.

 

Sylvia obviously doesn't care anymore, he needs to take a break.

 

Well what was he going to do to Randy take him to the ground and submit him with an Omoplata? Tim is the most unathletic person iv ever seen in Sports. He has very very little natural talent. BUT he was capable of using his sheer size to his advantage which in my opinion is no better than a guy like Valuev. If Tim thinks he's a world class striker thats his own perogative but for Dana to now **** on him in a fashion like this just proves without question how much a **** the bloke really is. There was time when Tim was HIS champ. Dana's memory is obviously so short he's forgotten the scintillating merrigoround between AA and Sylvia.

 

Kimbo was all over Mercer on the ground and on their feet. Mercer couldn't handle Kimbo when Kimbo was swarming on him either. The diffrence was that Kimbo FOUGHT Mercer, while Sylvia thought that he could box with him.

Silvia fought like a dumbass, that much is obvious - standing with a former pro boxer :-( - but White should show some respect, Id love to see his fat ass in the octagon, now THAT would be a complete joke !

 

White should have put Sylvia in the trash can way back when Mir broke his arm. Sylvia's been a joke for years and the UFC heavyweights were a ****ing laughing stock with Sylvia as champ.

 

But Sylvia kept winning didnt he...

 

People can talk **** about Sylvia all they want, but he won fights and still could in the UFC. If they do another TUF and put him on there it'll be pointless because a former 2-time champ will almost certainly win and why would anyone watch that? Sylvia shouldn't have taken a pointless gimmick fight, but now he has to win a bunch of fights in lesser shows and move on up IF that's what he really wants to do. He didn't seem to want to hang around the UFC last time he was there...

 

Sylvia should do it just to **** Dana off. The only person that would look stupid would be the UFC not Tim. And Tim left because he really thought he wa sa franchise fighter. He left for more dollar elsewhere. Tim is just stoopid and deluded.

 

I agree....this is the fight game and at the HW division anyone can be slept. Not that Mercer got lucky...he just used what he was good at and exposed Sliva's striking flaws.

 

Dana is an idiot, but I had to laugh at this. It was pretty funny but likely a fake article. Not sure how reputable this site is.
