LAS VEGAS – Given what he's seen with athletic commissions over his years in the fight game, Dana White is appalled at the case of Chael Sonnen.

One week after the the California State Athletic Commission upheld Sonnen's indefinite suspension, the UFC president vented about "incredibly, amazingly unfair" treatment the onetime middleweight title-challenger has received.

"I think it's horrible," White said Wednesday.

White confirmed that Sonnen was, in fact, due to coach "The Ultimate Fighter 14" opposite Michael Bisping, and the winner of the traditional season-ending fight between coaches was likely to get a title shot against champ Anderson Silva.

For Sonnen, it would be a do-over of an exhilarating but ultimately unsuccessful attempt at the belt at UFC 117, and it would likely be an extraordinarily lucrative opportunity not only for him, but for the promotion, as well.

Looks like CSAC did take a bribe. The entire trial was a complete farce and a waste of time.

Dana's talking nonsense. Sonnen hasn't served his time. His suspension was a year from September - it only got reduced due to the lies he said about Keith Kizer in December. Sonnen did not 'man up' he repeated the lies several times and even made up bizarre explanations why Kizer wasn't going along with his story. He only admitted he was lying when directly confronted by a pissed off Kizer in a face to face meeting. California and Nevada (the two Commissions who have been involved in the Sonnen case) both refused to license Margarito so the claim of double standards is the exact opposite of the truth. As for Mayweather, he hasn't fought since those allegation became public so he's jumping the gun on that issue.

Dana says there taking away his ability to make money. He is leaving out they are taking away UFC's ability to make money off of Bisping and Chael as coaches. He's a sly one, Mr Dana.

Well to be fair that is his job. And he did retire Chuck when he could've still made money off him.

He had no problem getting rid of Babalu and Paul Daley. But then he kept BJ Penn who held a RnC too long. I wonder why......

No - Liddell is now working in the Zuffa front office. Seriously did you not follow that story? It was the most bizarre sight in the world. A promoter begging a star that could still draw money to retire.

As I've always said - I agree with Dana on some things, disagree with him on others.

Chuck is/was the face of the brand. Doesn't bode to well for the brand when your main star is being knocked out on a regular basis. Still i think Chuck should have gone to lesser promotion and continued to fight if he was still fit enough.
Problem is there is nothing else.
