In general i like Dana. he puts on good fights, and now with the UFC being so big we get to see the top guys fight each other (most of the time). but one thing that i cant stand about the man is the utter **** that he makes up as fact. there is no way that the UFC is as big worldwide as football, and in my opinion it will never be. how many millions watch football every week in the UK and Europe alone? i still dont think mma is that big over here. out of all the people i know there isnt one who could name a british guy who fights in the UFC. but 100% of them will know who Wayne Rooney is. last year about 8 million people watched the champions league final in the uk. the UFC could only dream of these numbers. If he really means that, he's very delusional. In terms of viewership, corporate sponsorship, tickets and merchandising revenue, all of MMA has a long way to go.
The match between Man City and Man United was watched by 650m people worldwide. MMA will never get close to that.
