Here it is... I called it "The Yetts" out of respect... This content is protected Horrible quality pictures, I know. Back when they were asking me for pics on that thread, I just took the pictures from the screen.... as all of my matches are on regular video tapes. While we are on it, I will post the others that I still have in my photobucket from that thread. Once again... the pictures are shitty quality. Getting back to Kimbo, I think its hardly fair of Dana to be so dismissive of him. True Gannon beat him, but that was before he'd trained any MMA at all. Its true he's not that well rounded, but neither was Lesnar and they gave him a UFC fight no questions asked against a mediocre opponent. Why can't they do the same for Kimbo. At least he has been trainiing hard at MMA. Both Lesner (pre-Mir of course) and Kimbo are 1/0/0 at MMA, but being honest I was more impressed with Kimbo's skills in his first fight than I was with Lesnar's. I think Dana is being hypocrital because it seems to have nothing to do with the fighter's skills and everything to do with how much hype and money a fighter will bring to the UFC (eg Lesnar again). At least Kimbo can take a punch in the face.
I don't dismiss Kimbo as a bum... but I wouldn't understand how you were more impressed with Kimbo. Yes he won... but it wasn't a fight, and it didn't show us anything other than his willingness to fight. His opponent dropped and took cover, and didn't fight back. Lesnar was fighting a former UFC Champion, and dominating him... before being submitted.
I see you're point, neither one is proven, but Lesnar is a ways ahead of Kimbo in my view. Lesnar has also been training just as hard with just as good of a camp as Kimbo by the way.
Which part is the "Yetts" and what exactly are you doing? Cause i cant really see anything special especially in this quality.
Yea, sort of hard to tell from that picture I guess.. if you don't know what it is. My right hand is around his back, grabbing his lat on the opposite side. You can see it just below the elbow. I have his arm secured with my left arm, with my head tucked tightly into his shoulder/chest area. In this case, my opponent tried immediately to circle in the opposite direction, and I locked it in... stuck my right foot up against his left foot, collapsed down putting all of my body weight, and his own force coming back into his upper body, torquing his upper body by the pressure of my upper body coming down against his, while I pull on his lat with the right hand... all while collapsing/torquing my body.... which as you can see caused this particular opponent to be ripped in the complete opposite direction in which he was circling, off of his feet, and he ended up landing on his head/neck/shoulders.... and I pinned him a few seconds later. Would be much more easy to understand if you saw it in motion. Sorry if that is a little hard to follow... it isn't easy to explain in text over the computer.
Kimbo is the real deal, his punching abilty is top notch, he is also a very strong guy as well. If there were more fighters like Kimbo, I would really love watching MMA fights.
I think you have watched too many kimo street fighting videos...I have seen them all also , as entertaining as some of them can be they don't translate into MMA domination....unless he fights lesser opposition like he has. Tank is a step up from Cantrell but not too much..non the less it should be an entertaining fight....I think.
Fair enough, it seems Kimbo takes his training very serious now, unlike his earlier street fighting days. Kimbo is not only exciting, but he would be a tough fight for most fighters in the MMA, I do believe Kimbo will get a chance at a title soon, even if he has to cross over to the UFC to get that shot.
I kinda understand but i really do need to see it in motion to understand. Is there an original name to thin move? Or is it something that this came up with? It looks like a beautiful takedown. I have trouble understanding how you set it up so that your right arm is all the way around his back and your body basicly behind the left arm(like a Russian arm).
I think Tank has a great chance of KOing Kimbo in the first minute... if it lasts more than 2 or 3 minutes though, Kimbo will have the advantage. Tank will be dangerous as **** for Kimbo for about 60 seconds though.
