You know, a lot of people complain about how Arum and the rest of the promoters operate, but if they were to take the same route as the UFC, not only would everyone make less money, but the careers of their fighters wouldn't progress very well, either. Instead of enjoying the Mayweathers and Pacquiaos for 10 years, we'd have them for only half of that time. And in that time, we'd laugh and ridicule them for the amount of times they lost. Boxing fans are completely different in that regards. We can be the most hypocritical fans in sport. We demand our fighters to fight the best, and when they do that and inevitably lose a few bouts, we jump straight off their badwagon and talk **** on them. I know this because I'm guilty of it myself. Yesterday I was praising Devon Alexander and Paul Williams as the next major stars, and today I'm shitting on them for losing to tough opposition.

Honestly, I sometimes don't blame these promoters for the way they do their job. Dana doesn't understand **** about boxing. His sport has hit its peak, and he knows it'll never the major attraction that boxing is. That's why he spends most of his time looking over the fence and wondering what's going on on this side.

 

Not a fan of Dana White at all but even less of a fan of Bob Arum. I have no doubt he's probably ripping Manny Pacquiao off and even if Pacquiao agrees to the testing/Floyd drops the demands, I reckon Arum will put his own little ****ing roadblocks in the way behind the scenes to put the fight off for even longer to make more money or maybe so the fight doesnt happen at all. Arum is a scumbag and the sooner he is no longer involved in boxing the better.

 

Boxing promoters need to evolve or mma will be the main combat sport,credit to ufc for getting on Fox this is HUGE the talk will be UFC because boxing does not get anymore coverage

The only thing boxing had going on was the wars that we see (rarely) But when UFC starts to have 5 round none title fights forget about it.We need to get are **** together FAST.

 

Hypocrisy at its best. Dana white calls arum a greedy pig? Wow, UFC makes monthly ratings of floyd/pac of 1.0 + million views per PPV every month. Pac and floyd get 20mil plus dollars, while their guy lesnar get 500K. UFC is easily making 70 mil per PPV and gates and merchandise and is calling someone a greedy pig. There most known guys lidell, otiz, and couture never made over 500k on any PPV. The fighters started talking about a fighter union cause of this and dana took noticed of this and rewarded them with health insurance? If anyone is a greedy pig its him. Berto a mid carder makes 1mil per fight while a mid carder in ufc makes 20k plus and 20'K to win. If Arum is a pig, he has to be worst then that.

Dana can afford to put on the cards that he does, because he pays his fighters peanuts.
