It gets better than that. Lesnar Carwin which was billed as the biggest UFC fight of all time.. Carwin walked away with 20k. No im not joking. Carwin was their interim CHAMP at the time.

 

You of all people, I thought could relate to Dana White since you promote dance parties or whatever on the side.

 

And Fedor has had his ass handed to him in three consecutive fights, but UFC rejects, just saying.

 

UFC fighters in general make peanuts compared to world class boxers.

 

UFC fighthers can fight only his own fighters with a piece of **** of money!! they sold their soul when them sign that kind of contracts...

at least in boxing every match is a diferent contract with a diferent budget...

The difference between MMA and Boxing is simple. MMA, you have a market you can compete on, you are worth market rates. If you want to fight on the big show for UFC, you will be paid what your market rate is for the competition.

This enables them to have 4-6 fights of quality rather than just 1 fight. It means the fighters are paid less, but then fighters are part of an overall show - they also fight more and more frequently and are prone to bigger endorsements. They're not selling/promoting on the back of fighters most of the time, they're selling/promoting on the back of strong fight cards.

White makes less per fighter than Arum does, I can guarantee you - White also promotes his sport the best way possible and has even got a situation where top fights will be on prime time television on a prime time network.

He has an advantage over all boxing promoters, A: He's not having to pay his fighters unreasonable amounts (40 mil for a fight? Cmon now) and B: He can choose matches and make fighters fight them, rather than fighters/fight management choosing.

 

lol, says Dana White who pays all his fighters put together for a show not even a quarter of what Arum pays Manny Pacquiao for a fight, and UFC PPV events always make a killing and are always sold out. Hell he and Zuffa probably take more money than his fighters put together for every show

Arums job is to promote his boxers, and when he's able to get Pacquiao 25 million, Cotto and Margarito multiple million dollar purses, Pavlik aswell, and they've all suffered losses and setbacks, and before that he was the one who built Oscar up to the megastar he was, the guy has done a great job.

As for what he's done for the sport, all I can go on is the biggest fights put together over the time I've been watching boxing, the last 15 years or so, and Arums name has been associated with most of those promotions. He's also made all his top fighters basically fight everyone, if you look at their records you can't deny it, he couldn't have done much more than that

It's just been the last couple years he hasn't been able to do that, with lawsuits against and from Golden Boy and Floyd Mayweather and their deliberate smear campaign to destroy Pacquiao's reputation, and also Mayweather doing everything to not fight Pacquiao, making it impossible to work with those guys

 

thats so weird. i was just this second thinking i wonder if gamboa and donaire are ever going to ight each other. i was trying to remember their weight classes and trying to recall if they're a simmilar height or not there. then just as i was thinking that, i scroll down and see your avatar. :shock:

3 or 4 Dana Whites, lol. How would that work? You know Dana White and the UFC don't allow their fighters to fight opponents from other promotions? White is all about buidling up the UFC, he couldn't give a **** about MMA judging by the disrespectful way he talks about fighters outside of his promotion and how the UFC buy out rival promotions to kill the competition.

I don't think they've ever done a cross promotion, all I can remember is they let Chuck Liddell fight in the Pride GP one year hoping he'd win to prove the UFC was the best. Well he lost, and alot of fans still believe Pride was the best MMA promotion. Also the greatest fighter in history, Fedor, never fought in the UFC because he didn't want to sign over his rights to their slave contracts.

 

Dana White has a lot more cred than most of boxing's head honchos. But that isn't saying a lot really.
