To have that sort of guy represent the UFC back then fit the enviroment. But now MMA is becoming mainstream and the UFC is becoming a serious business, it is out of place and ridiculous. It doesn't exactly convey a great image of the sport that the figurehead of the biggest show is a foul mouthed brat. It won't make MMA be taken seriously if you have that going on, it just re-inforces the perception in MMA-haters minds that all MMA fans are idiot swearing drunken hicks. Dana needs to be more professional, hire a PR person and take a back seat and allow a more professional person comment on things.

Randy is a stand up guy and I suspect Dana is too. You can't hate on Dana if he plays hardball in business. He just needs to evolve beyond this tough guy persona he tries to project. It really is quite silly with all the profanity and tough talking he does. One day he's going to mouth off to the wrong guy and get "***** slapped" for real.

dana has an inferiority complex, he has it towards the fighters and for some reason he has it towards the boxing promoters. he should relax, he's rich and famous and that allows him to screw the ring girl models. he's got it made.
