UFC told their fighters that if they can keep the fight standing up then they will be awarded an extra grand bc it generate excitement. They sad thing is that they boast Marital Arts but wants more stand up striking. Half of them can't even they are str8 punch. You might as well watch boxing.

Stick Dana White in the ring with Delahoya for 12 rounds, you can give him running shoes, **** it give him a bicycle adn he will still get KTFO and he outweighs Oscar by like 50lbs. Floyd might not have the most crowd pleasing style but he's a small guy and he still fought Oscar and "beat" him. It takes, balls, heart and skill to enter a ring, let alone come up in weight and fight an elite, future HOFer like Oscar. Dana White and anyone else that calls Floyd a ***** or says he "runs" or anything of the sort is just being ignorant.

Dana White controls a basic monopoly and limits the talent. an mma guy insulting a boxer is like a 110m hurdler insulting a 100m sprinter. sure the hurdler does more, but the sprinter does his thing faster. The boxer does less, but what he does he does better.

He has a point for the fact that so many boring ass - avoid contact boxers are at or near the top of the rankings. . . Spinks, Raheem, Fraud, Malagnagi, Caballero, Hopkins - these names are off the top of my head. I cant think of half that many boring MMA fighters . . . Rashad Evans is the only one I can think of.

Man to many people take all this to personally. While I may agree that his statement may have been a little to overboard, it was still his opinion to make. Hardcore boxing fans disrespect the UFC all the time anyway. Plus it's not like his statement didn't make at least a little bit of sense. Did Barrera come to fight in his rematch with Pacquiao? No.

Did Delahoya vs Mayweather end up being the best fight in boxing history like it was supposed to? No it didn't. When he talks about how bad boxings heavyweight division is, is he lying? No he isn't. And you menchaining the deaths in boxing is nothing to be proud of or use as a way to make MMA look as if it's a ***** sport. It's simply his opinion. Who cares?

What's sad about this post is that you take up for the UFC and even more sad that you even know the name of a UFC fighter not named Kimbo.:-(

Yes hardcore boxing fans do but you don't see Bob Arum,Don King,Frank Warren or any other top boxing promoter going of their way to diss on UFC/MMA the way *** boy Dana White does against boxing and BTW your nitpicking a couple of fights where some fighters did'nt want to go all out, but overall 2007/2008 have been very good in boxing as far as entertaining bouts is concerned and I think Dana White knows but he says bad things about boxing so UFC fans can continue to only watch UFC and not resort to boxing for real action.

Dana White needs to get his ass ****ing mopped by a Professional Boxer. Let it be Ivan Calderon, I'd love to see White get literally ***** slapped until his brain has an aneurysm

Same old Dana White BS. **** this guy in the ass with a CHAINSAW:yep
    METAPHORICALLY SPEAKING OF COURSE:happy

I dont dislike UFC as its own sport. In fact its good that other athletes have opportunity. But White? Is a ****ing clown who's all about himself and his $$$$$$$$ and he'll try anything to get more of it.

What are you talking about? Don King is another MMA basher. King said something about MMA being a bar fight and that they bite people or some **** like that:lol: Oh wait, I've seen someone get bit in boxing, and let's not forget Jim Lampley:lol: Who actually took time out on boxing's "BIGGEST" event Delahoya vs Mayweather just to do some UFC bashing of his own.

And in 2007 the UFC was right up there with boxing, in fact the only boxing event where Boxing TOTALLY smashed the UFC was Delahoya vs Mayweather. While I agree in 2007 and 2008 boxing has done very well, I love both sports. I'm not knocking boxing at all, it was the first sport I started watching and got into as a child. I just think the lack of respect for a growing sport like MMA is constant. As I said, it was his opinion and it was his to make. It doesn't mean anything.
