Dana White: Jose Aldo is refusing to fight Anthony Pettis

Ofcourse aldo doesnt wanna fight pettis. Same reason silva doesnt wanna fight weidman.

 

Eh, saying Pettis is undeserving puts Aldo in the same shoes as Pettis.

I'm not averse to elite guys jumping weight to make fights, but I think if Aldo wants to make a move up, that should be the priority rather than keeping him weight starved and having to fight a monster like Pettis.

Why not let Aldo move up in weight, fight for the title, and then give Pettis the winner of that fight? Seems fair? Aldo, being a champ, being senior and given his rep should be given the priority choice. His victory over Edgar was more impressive, and more convincing than Hendersons.. Henderson looks like a guy barely holding onto his strap to me..

Not that I wouldn't love to see this fight, but I'd like to see it where both guys are very comfortable at weight. Aldo has been showing the first signs of slowing down. Guys are very aware of his skill set/ knees etc.

 

So these two are going to be the coaches on the next series of Ultimate Fighter then? That seems to be the trend.

 

What the **** did Florian and Edgar do to deserve it?

And LOL @ anybody who honestly claims that they want to see the likes of Lamas or KZ fight Aldo instead of Pettis.

 

I think the UFC is getting ****ing ridiculous with these championship fights. The ONLY time a guy should come from another weightclass, and jump the line, is when it's Champion vs Champion.

What White is going to "force" Aldo to fight Pettis, but NOT force GSP/Anderson or Anderson/Jones? Makes no sense.

Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to see this fight. But the intergrity of the weight divisions is getting destroyed. How much does it suck for the guys who are working their asses off, getting win after win but can't get a damn title shot because people keep jumping the line.

Edgar should not have gotten the title shot.
Pettis should not get the title shot.
Sonnen should not be getting the title shot.
Diaz should not be getting the title shot.

The 1st 4 title shots of 2013 (Male) haven't been earned and are unjust to other fighters in the division.
