Dana's has never said anything other than he respects Vince, so I have no idea what you're talking about there. He's not a fan of pro-wrestling but just because he's not fan doesn't mean he disrespects it. I mean he employs Joe Silva as a matchmaker who's a big pro-wrestling fan and clearly has a ton of time for Dave Meltzer, a pro-wrestling journalist.

And this point about "UFC is only a few shades up from ECW" is just silly. I mean how anyone who is a fan of Pride cannot recognise that the UFC is by a far more reserved, sports-orientated version of the sport is beyond me.

You hate the Sonnen-style trash talk and showmanship that a minority of UFC fighters engage in to promote their fights, get their names out there and put extra money in their pockets.

Conversely, you have no problem with PRIDE's pro-wrestling elements, up to and including worked matches.

You **** on Dana for his apparent hatred of pro wrestling. Even though all the evidence suggests that Dana respects Vince and the WWE, and any ill-will he has towards it stems from some people's perception of the WWE (scripted entertainment) and the UFC (legitimate sporting competition) as being equivalent entities in direct competition with each other.

Is that fair?

If the UFC wasn't there, there would be something else. If you think MMA success only happened because BBF was the CEO and the Fratelli brother invested in the UFC then I'm sorry but you are a ****wit.

BBF saying that ESPN report is biased and the next ****in thing he do is to show 3 interview made by A) One of the biggest draw in the UFC history B) Winner of the first TUF(did you know that winning TUF get you a 6 figure contract from the begining ?) and C) the Winner of TUF 4(Again, winning a 6 figure contract...)

While the only thing I SAID was that he could have made a better argument if he had showed interview of people that the ESPN report was about...THE LOWER ****IN TIER OF FIGHTER.

The more I hear about the UFC pay scale and the less incline I am to think that they are ****ing the fighter over.

If all the UFC contract are more or less based on what we have learned about the Overeem contract (minus the PPV cut, minus the insane amount of money) it looks pretty ****in good. Signing money, money to show, performance bonus etc....that is alot better then what I thought it was.

 

You have nothing better to do than complain.. Let's stop pretending that all fighters are created equal, and accept that everyone starts somewhere.. Everybody is getting paid in The UFC.
