i dont think le could hang with, hendo, maia, gouveia, nate, kang, franklin, okami, almeida and silva. and if he tries to stand with mcfedries and sakara he could get ko'ed.

Anyone remember Frank Shamrock letting his hands go on Cung in their 3rd round fight?

Silva would do the same following with a knee.

Cung Le has better kicks than Anderson Silva? He's got decent sidekicks, but Anderson uses his punches and kicks together in combinations that are like art.

Anderson's standup is the most versatile in MMA and while Cung's is good I don't think there is any reason to say they are the same level. Anderson can KO nearly any opponent with any part of his body. He's done it with knees, elbows, punches from both hands, and kicks.

Cung is very good, but Anderson is the pound for pound best striker in MMA.

I tend to agree with you that in MMA from what Ive seen, Silva is king of standup. But I need to see more of Le. From watching some of his Sanshou fights the guy is as technical or even moreso than Silva, although not as explosive and dynamic.

Anderson is not only p4p the bst striker in MMA. He is the best striker in MMA. To me he is the best fighter in MMA.

:good This to me is a toss up! Both have a legit chance of winning...I just don't know who would win. Size, reach, range all favor Anderson but I think Speed and explosiveness and dynamics favor Cung. I love the fight. Make it happen for a one fight contract b/c Most fighters know they don't want to fight under the UFC forever with how Dana has been doing business. Which is why fedor only wants to knock off the UFC champs and keep it moving...he wants nothing to do with any long term contracts with UFC.

Disagree...not that he's past his prime but that his striking skills wouldn't allow him to win or dominate in the UFC...aside from other great strikers like Silvia. Le has powerful strikes and a wide array of offense that would be tough for anyone to combat. Frank Shamrock would beat MOST UFC fighters and Cung beat Frank pretty convingingly although Frank got in good work too.

Robbie is good and he's got some great hands but he's not as diversified with his strikes.....****...Robbie wouldn't beat Frank and that is gospel in my honest opinion.
